McGee's game is very similar to DJ. I think they should go after him- it is nice to always have an athletic, long big on the court.

If I was building a team I'd have clones of my starting 5 as my backup 5. Meaning this. I'd take a flyer on JaVale simply because other then his boneheadedness (is that even a word??) he's basically a clone of DJ.
If the Clippers win the championship next year I'm getting banned from RealGM

Re: Missing out on buy outs and vet min players
i just don't see the point.
the guy is just a super moron on the court and fact of the matter is doc refuses to play people whom he cannot rely on. i would have zero problem with signing him at the beginning of the season so he could maybe work out his kinks with our defensive system and all that.
but mid-way? he's gonna be a waste of a roster space cause doc doesn't know how to handle a guy like him. he's gonna treat him the same way he treats rookies.
would i like to see him signed and contribute and give us championship power? absolutely. but unless he gets a brain transplant i don't see doc even giving him court time.

Haha, that only works if your starting 5 is balanced. For the Clippers, complementing the starting 5 with the bench 5 is a smarter option. JaVale would be fine as long as he knows what he's here to do.
