You make adjustments, big or small, as they are needed. The idea that you stick with a failing system all season because "big adjustments" are for the offseason is

That's how coaches lose their players. Nobody wants to go out there and bust their ass for 6 months knowing that they are playing for nothing because their head coach can't or won't change the system he started the season with.

And didn't the coach go out there and made those adjustments? We went from a team looking to have the most possession to dead last in possessions because we had to slow the pace.

I don't even know how to respond to that. We play at a snail's pace because that is how Spoelstra wants it. It was like that with Lebron too.

They have one of the deepest benches in the league

They have a deep bench? I'd say it's more a matter of their head coach having a plan. There's nothing special on that bench aside from maybe Lou Williams. Available talent is being used effectively ... and excuses aren't being made.

If you want to try to make the case that Raptors have more talent that the Heat, I'd love to hear it.

They're not going to the D League every 2 weeks looking for a rotation player

Kyle Lowry is probably better than anyone on our team :(

That's a big reason why they are better. That kind of thing matters.

Their bench is 1 of the best in the LG & they dont have trouble scoring like we do.
The 3rd guy is between Valanciunas, Amir & Williams

Of course you can't even answer since your tone about Spoelstra it's been vitriolic from the get go and discussing the subject "as a whole" would actually require an open mind. Therefore, it will be irrelevant that I tell you that the Heat made 4 straight finals ranking at the bottom of the league in pace but also at the top of the league in Offensive rating which is what matters the most. This season, with much less talent, the team still ranks at the bottom in pace but is below the average in offensive ratings (not a good thing FYI) since it's been an obvious struggle due to lack of talent, injuries and continuity. But yeah, let's take the lazy approach and blame the coach for everything even though he's been known - for better or for worst - to want to push the tempo.

Sadly, Wade athleticism is gone. He is still a very good player on offense (and mostly lazy on defense) but better than most SG although not elite anymore. I was eager to see Dragic play with Bosh and Deng. I always though those two were going to benefit the most by playing with a true PG to get them the ball.

 seriously, who cares who brought it up, you had an opinion on it by calling it "snail" pace but whatever, I see that having the last word is more important to you. I'll move on. Nothing further to discuss here.

Mannn, ya'll hate on Spo. He got put into a truly difficult situation - and managed 4 finals trips and 2 championships out of it. Can't you appreciate what we got?

And the obvious response would be to say " but how was it difficult?" Consider the expectations, the pressure, the egos. He managed it all. Half of a coach's job in the NBA is managing egos. Hell, look at Brian Shaw and why he just got fired - he lost control of the locker room. The talent was there but the players didn't buy into it. Spo could have lost it after the first finals, but he didn't - he got his s**t together, picked himself up, and we all know what happened the following year. Always got love for Coach Spo!

But the reason the Raps have the better record, and HAD the better team, is depth. Our team has the depth and the star power now to compete with any team in a 7 game series. Can't wait until we get Bosh and McBob back... Got me dreaming like a Disney Princess waiting for her prince like..
