I dont remember the exact numbers, but Im pretty sure MKG and Zeller were scoring just as much during Kembas stretch. It kind of seems like sik infant was just looking for an excuse to diminish Kembas contributions.

The point being that everyone else looks better when Mo is playing.

Everyone (aside from Al) plays better.

It's amusing that when it comes down to it, certain posters are more concerned with the success of Kemba as opposed to the success of the team.

Anyone who honestly thinks that Kemba is the be all, and end all, of this team cannot honestly be a fan of the team itself imo.

If am not sure that is Mo as much as an adjustment to our offense. We have not been playing Alfense since the all star break. I think Kemba would have a few less assists but a few more points in this system. If we stay aggressive and play like this once Kemba is back I think we will see very good things from both these guys. I do not think this is really a Mo vs Kemba debate as much as Alfense vs Offense.

Excellent post and I agree.

The question is who changed the offense?

Mo or Clifford?

We stopped playing Alfense when Al went down and it hasnt came back. Mo takes it to a wonderful extreme by straight up ignoring Al, but we had been heading in this direction for a while.

Dont forget how good everyone looked when Al went down and Kemba was running the show. We've seen this from our guys before Mo.

We won't fully know until Kemba comes back but I do think Clifford saw how well everyone else played without Al and decided to keep the system we were using. All the players prefer this style of play like some of us have been saying for over a year now and Clifford finally saw how it could work. Now is just a matter of figuring out how to fit Al into this system and have him be effective regularly.

Al has been crappy in this system because he has to hurry (for him) and keep the ball moving.

This is what I've been longing for the Hornets to bring in, a savvy veteran point guard like Mo Williams to help mentor Kemba through his growth as a player, and not a guard that's trying to steal minutes or his starting spot from him like Ramon Sessions, but I guess that was when they were unsure of Kemba being the future at point guard. I'm just hoping we can & will re-sign Williams after this season

11 billion different head coaches and partner point guards for Kemba since joining the NBA has done him no favours, that's for sure.

Some consistency would be nice for him (as well as others) starting with the head coach, game plan and partner point (preferably a vet to mentor him).

Note: Mo Williams is Maurice Williams in NBA.com's database

Haha, I have noticed the same thing. Laughed about it as if there was no tomorrow.
