Nottraxee mentioned in a post that Horny has lost the team and in another post said the front office wished he had a little more discipline with them. Wonder if he if he will get the hook this summer.

I have no doubt that Honaceck knows more about basketball in his left pinky then I do in all of my brain. Which makes this all the more inexcusable. He must be taking instructions from an ex-scout or a statistical analyst who says three pointers and combo guards are the future of the NBA.
I suspect he is putting the best players on the court that he believes will help us win. He runs plays for these players that maximize their ability to execute on both ends of the floor. I don't think there are many coaches that could get as much out of our players than he has.
This team is very young and inexperienced. I don't think Popavich, Phil Jackson or Rick Carlisle could get anything more out of this group of players.

Goran was a bitch and wanted out. He quit on us. What part of that do you not understand?
Goran wanted out of this **** stain of a team
That's fine. I don't care anymore. He's not a Sun anymore so I don't care. All the Gogi fanbois need to find the appropriate Heat board. This isn't the place for them anymore.

haha
this game was really weird from beginning.
idk if i'm good to watch the post-game interviews... something really bad is about to happen.

Losing to a sub .500 Eastern team. Bad times.

Fair enough. I guess there has been a lot of whining on here lately.
On the positive side, Len has really looked good lately. Why did he get thrown out of the game tonight?

Whiteside fouled him hard, and he threw Whiteside on the floor, and then Whiteside tackled him, and they both got ejected.

Whiteside tackled Len so they threw the both out.

Im not really mad with the productivity. I'm just not happy with the system I see them running. I don't really see "plays". I see a bunch of people standing around and waiting to play hero-ball.
Again, i dont care if we miss every shot. I dont care if we get burned on defense. What I am stressed about is the system. If youth coaches can get kids to play team ball, I don't see why it should be so hard to implement a system that has people (professional basketball players) moving without the ball, passing, slashing, cutting, screening, etc... If we lose like that because we are young, then I am fine.
I can deal with the result. It;s the method that has me stressin.

I'll probably be tuning in every other game from here on out just to monitor the development of the youngins and find out whether Knight pans out . Here's to hoping they get consistent minutes

Our offense is basically like watching pickup basketball games except we screen more on and off the ball. So actually we have more movement then the Suns do lol. We are so young and athletic that if we play with movement and swing the ball few teams could hang with us. Be honest with yourself and think about how many times we passed the ball 3+ times in a possession not to mention even swing the ball from one side to another.

You going to fire the carpenter because the blueprints are bad? I don't think so. If they made a coaching change, they'd have to get a top notcher... and other than JVG, who is out there?
Over and Under for new players next yr ? 5 1/2

I think he gave up on the game after Len got ejected. Playing with no centers. Stupidity of the team might have caused that.

I agree completely with this. Nice post. Something is definitely wrong with this team and the style of ball being played. Part of me says its just the youth on the team not coming together yet, and another part of me says there is bigger problem.denial wrote:Cutter wrote:denial wrote:

Even if this team gets another year together under their belt I'm just not sure if this is going to work going forward.

Re: Game 61: Phoenix Suns (31-29) @ Miami Heat (25-33)
I was cautiously optimistic about the Brandon Knight trade, but I think I've moved into being pissed off about it.
I was thrilled with the Dragic and Thomas trades, even if I wouldn't have minded keeping Thomas for 1 or 2 more years. It really felt like the front office was committing to finding players who play defense and changing the identity of the team. Led by Bledsoe and Len, we were going to re-invent the Suns with a bunch of plus defenders.
Jokes on me. We went and traded for Brandon Knight, who is either apathetic or ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I just don't understand how he hasn't been able to even pretend to stay in front of his man since he came here. I can forgive him for making bad passes, taking bad shots, missing rotations - that's all to be expected when you come to a new system.
I just can't forgive him for not playing any defense at all. Staying in front of your man is independent of any system, any team, any coach out there. Worse, he leads the reserves who don't play any defense at all either, so we just see record breaking second quarters and scrub guards eviscerating us night after night now. Just brutal. I hope they can coach him up into something remotely respectable, or these are going to be a long 4 years.
