That's really hard to say, it varies from game to game. I sell on StubHub and price at market value, and that varies a lot. Face value of my tickets are $61 ( goin up to 66 next year , btw ) ,and only a couple times this season have I sold for less than face ( net StubHub fees ) . I've gotten as much as 2.5 X face .

There's generally not a big demand in November, though I've always sold my tickets, even without KD and Russ this past year. This time of year, demand is higher, but still, I only netted face value for the Pacers and upcoming Sixers game. Depends upon the day of the week and opponent, the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday games .... demand is much lower. Friday night is large demand.

I don't know if those that buy from the Ticket Exch and StubHub, realize how much fee is included. There's fees for the buyer, but also fee's for the seller. I always price in the fee. StubHub comes to about 25% and I think the team exchange ( Ticketmaster ) is 30%, and they don't allow the seller to mark down below face value. I only use StubHub, cause I despise Ticketmaster.

But the fee's can be bypassed, by using PayPal and email. I've sold some tickets on Craigslist doing that.

Those lower levels are only $66? That's where I sat the first game I went to and I thought they were great. Do you end up making money off those if you sell more than 1/2 of them?

Edit: what section are we talking? Maybe I'm thinking closer than what you're talking.

Double edit: nope those are the ones I was thinking of. Sh*t, I wish I had $6,000 to drop on a pair. After I get done saving for a house I know what I'm spending money on :D

I'm in Sec 112, and I can generally make enough from the tickets I sell, to pay my renewal. The secondary market for Thunder tickets is really hot and has been for some time now. I've sold tickets to people from Alabama to California. Most of them go to Kansas, and I don't sell many in state.

That could all end this year , though. The drop in the price of oil and subsequent industry layoffs, may have an impact on Thunder tickets. Our economy has been strong due to oil/gas industry. And if KD does not resign, then it will be all over .

At the present , there are none close. But there is a train that travels to and from Dallas/ Ft Worth , once daily. After you get to Ft Worth, you can ride the Dallas train system to most parts of the city.

There will be a train between Tulsa and OKC. I'm not sure when it begins operation, maybe soon, like well before you plan your trip.

The only other public transportation is the OKC city bus system or Uber . There's a bus transit station downtown with routes that cover most of the city, is like a $1.50 to ride. And then there's a route that circles through downtown , Bricktown , and its free. They call that the Discovery bus. I ride the City bus bout once a week, to meet my wife downtown for dinner, since she works on other side of town. It takes a lot longer to get around, but its functional. They don't run at night though.

To add on to this, since you said you like country music, Tulsa usually has a few cheaper concerts every month.

Tulsa has more music , period ..... they have a legacy, with Leon Russells Shelter Records and Church Studio, and JJ Cale, and half of Derek and the Dominoes were part of the " Tulsa Sound " .

And yes, I'm envious of Tulsa's music scene.

That's decent. Do any of you use Air b&b? It's an app, for people renting rooms out for short stays etc. Been looking, but not sure which area's in OKC to look for, other than Bricktown and Downtown.. Also, what are the train prices like, For the Dallas trip? And how long does it take to get there from OKC? It always amazes me just how big US, is. To travel the length of our country, takes about 7 hours! Yet it takes longer than that, to travel across a STATE! Mental!

By auto, OKC to Dallas is bout 3 hours, its 190 miles ...... here's the info on the Heartland Flyer , its a four hour trip, but they do not disclose fares . To the best of my memory, I think its about $60 one way

http://heartlandflyer.com/

The Tulsa trip is two hours by car, bout 120 miles. The train service has not started yet, but they're trying to keep the trip under three hours. Here's a story from this past December, I've not read anything more current , lately . They do not mention fares.

http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/local/tr ... e5d97.html

We are more spread out than the East coast, its a long way to anything in this part of the country. And OKC as a city, is very spread out, we are a very big city by square mileage . I'm not familiar with that app, but the areas with the nicer hotels other than downtown districts, are going to be the NW parts of OKC and the suburbs of Norman, Moore, and Edmond.

Traditionally, going back pre and post WWII , OKC was divided by the North Canadian River, which runs right past downtown, west to east. South of the river was blue collar, and north and NW of river was white collar/professional. Its not that neatly divided anymore. North and NW remain the more affluent part of the city, except its extended much further out. Today, directly south of the river is Hispanic, there are some streets that all the business signage is in Spanish and one would think they were in Mexico ( with some true Mexican restaurants , btw ) . Past that, its much more mixed.

I'll stick more central, I think. Close to the arena, the better for me! I wanna see it as much as I can, over the course of my stay!!

An example of how ya never really can tell what the market price for tickets will be, I've still not sold my tickets for tomorrow night's game vrs the Clippers. I have them priced so that after fees, I recover my cost. And they still not moving. Also, I'm priced well below any other tickets in comparable sections.

If Blake Griffin were playing in this game, they could go as high as 3X's my cost. But still, the Clippers are a quality opponent, with a player popular in OKC, Chris Paul.

Just never can tell ..............
