I heard that his treatment will take a minimum of 6 month. Even if we don't go far in the playoffs I am ok with that. This year we added Whiteside, Napier, Johnson and Dragic. That's a win for me. Next year the Heat are going to be among the favorites to be champions.

We were never really going to go far to begin w/ in the sense that we were never contending - 2nd round would have been a stretch. Whiteside after all was a result after all these injuries....had we been healthy Hassan would still be at the Y still trying to get his break. Dragic was some kind of miracle though. So spite of everything we've been through it's been a blessing this season, absolutely. Somehow we managed to address our 2 long term & biggest issues.

But one of the faves champions next year? perhaps faves to take the east, but even that would be a stretch.....we still need to address a few things such as our depth, back up SG, 3 pt specialists etc.

I don't agree with the "well is was a lost season anyway so don't care if Bosh comes back to playoffs" mentality.

Whiteside and Dragic changed everything. With Bosh, we're a VERY well balanced team with a lot of talent. The East is shaky as hell, teams like the Raptors, Bulls and even Hawks are far from unbeatable for us. They're better now, but the talent gap isn't dramatic at all after our additions.

We have a lot of young inexperience players that would really benefit from being a part of a long playoff run. It also helps to build team chemistry, and will help us identify the issues we should address this summer (MLE, offensive scheme, rotations).

Having Bosh back will be extremely valuable for the long term picture, and the added bonus is we could really upset some fools in the first and second rounds with Bosh and end the season on a great note, even without reaching the finals.

So yea still prating Bosh can surprise us and come back for the playoffs, a lot to gain there.

^^
Agree. The starting 5 of Dragic, Wade, Deng, Bosh and Whiteside would be dangerous. It even made Charles Barkley say something nice about the Heat. It also makes our bench better. Mario playing as a 6th man is so underrated. I always thought he would excel there since he can be aggressive on offense and defense without the pressures of being the starting PG. Then Andersen would get his efficient 15mpg and Napier, Haslem, TJ and Ennis would go back to their "use in case of emergency" roles. Our only hole would be a quality swingman (SG/SF/PF) combo guy. Hopefully Walker can seize that job?

Either way, it is not a wasted season and I am actually excited about this summer where we can fill our holes with MLE and LLE plus we get McRoberts back (monster boost for the bench).

I agree, but bosh isnt coming back this season. Now, if mcbob can come back for the playoffs, i think that would be a big boost and give us a chacne in the ECF.

Heat forward Chris Bosh released from the hospital

Heat forward Chris Bosh was released from the hospital on Friday, according to the Associated Press.

"He's at home. He's starting to feel a little better," coach Erik Spoelstra told the South Florida Sun Sentinel. Bosh will miss the rest of the season after dealing with a blood clot in his lung. When asked whether Bosh would attend games the rest of the year, Spoelstra said the most important thing was that Bosh was at home now.

How Is Pulmonary Embolism Treated?

If you have deep vein thrombosis, treatment with blood thinners usually lasts for 3 to 6 months. If you've had blood clots before, you may need a longer period of treatment. If you're being treated for another illness, such as cancer, you may need to take blood thinners as long as PE risk factors are present.

April 18 -- 2015 NBA Playoffs begin (Josh McRoberts should be healthy and ready by then)

May 19 or 20 -- Conference Finals begin (possible move-up to May 17 or 18) (three months since Chris Bosh has been treated in the hospital).

Chris has been under the best medical care known to man. If the 2014-15 Regular Season ended today, we should be facing Toronto. Then, we have to face the winner of Atlanta vs. Indiana (Paul George could be playing). If we manage to be victorious, could we have the chance to see Chris Bosh rejoining the Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals?

Have a question about Blood Clots. How does the process work to heal it? No surgeries, right?

No surgery in this case, although his doctors did prescribe a daily enema.

We all know how competitive an athlete can be. Especially, someone like Chris Bosh. And when we are talking about a championship, the story gets more interesting. If under a normal medical care you can recover in three months, I can see how Chris Bosh has a chance of coming back sooner than expected. Even more, if he is monitored very closely. I am willing to give a 50 percent chance of this happening.

Mirza Teletovic reaches out to Chris Bosh; he wants him to know he's going to be OK.

Thrilled that the blood clots found on his lungs are gone, the Nets' Mirza Teletovic opted to take a few moments Monday night to extend a hand in the direction of Heat star Chris Bosh.

"I really want to use this opportunity to reach out to Chris Bosh and tell him he doesn't have to worry,'' Teletovic said in his first extended chat with the media since he was diagnosed with bilateral pulmonary embolus -- or multiple blood clots -- in the lungs Jan. 23, the same situation Bosh is dealing with. "He's going to get better and he's going to start working out pretty soon.''

Teletovic said he's been doing just that now that tests show his lungs are free of clots, something he said the doctors are about "80 percent'' certain he developed from a hip pointer he suffered against the Cavaliers on Dec. 8.

He said he started working out three weeks ago and has been doing everything -- running, jumping, dunking -- except contact. That will happen once he's off blood thinners in July. He fully expects to play basketball next season, which excites him, given the severity of the situation initially.

"I didn't know what it was in the beginning and how serious this was,'' Teletovic said. "[Nets trainer Tim Walsh] told me it's very serious and I had to go back to the hospital . . . It's very important it got discovered and it didn't go further.''

There would be no point to bring Bosh back even if he were cleared to play. Any longtime Heat fan remembers what happened with Zo in 2001... it was a nice emotional lift, but his presence completely disrupted our chemistry, having guys playing out of position, changing the offense/defense, and we got destroyed by the Hornets in an embarrassing 3 game sweep.

Respect to Teletovic, I use to dislike him always whenever he would reign 3's on us and out of frustration call him Television, now I wont.
