Right, if a player is making a positive impact, it should definitely show up some place, somewhere, even if we have to look for it.

Kirk's value used to be beyond the obvious, which people made fun of, but it was true. As you said, no longer the case, really far in the other direction it seems.

The most important thing about this thread is the title. Yes, the superlative adjectival form of bad is "worst," not "worse." I see posters incorrectly using "worse" so often on this forum that I just wanted to give credit to the OP (and get that hangup off my chest).
