Wow! McCoy traded to the bills!
Bills acquired RB LeSean McCoy in exchange for LB Kiko Alonso.
I know McCoy is getting up there (or so it seems) but didn't expect the eagles to trade him.
Wasn't it last year McCoy & Peterson arguing over who the best was. Now look. Looks like both wont even be on the team they were playing for at the start of last year.

It's a stunning trade in a league bereft of them. The move gives new Bills coach Rex Ryan a centerpiece for his "ground-and-pound" offense, and reunites Alonso with his college coach in Chip Kelly. The Philadelphia Daily News' Paul Domowitch reported late last month that the Eagles were unlikely to keep Shady at his $11.95 million cap number. McCoy is coming off a year where he averaged just 4.2 yards per carry and was eased off goal-line duties, but remains one of the league's premier runners. He is still only 27 (in July). From a fantasy perspective, he remains a clear RB1. As for the Eagles, they now have a gaping hole at running back. For better or worse, Kelly is proving more than ready to exercise his new absolute control of the Eagles' roster.

First Desean gets cut, then McCoy get traded, now the Raiders will throw obscene money at Maclin and he'll be gone next week.

Seems kind of like Kelly is doing what Bill Parcells did. Bring in "his" players & cut any good players that other players might listen too.
Who is your RB now? I was trying to think about it. Didn't you guys have a young guy that had flashes? Maybe Kelly has enough faith in (whoever you guys have) to take Shady's place.
I know this trade isn't hurting my feelings none

Re: Wow! McCoy traded to the bills!
Chris Polk and Sproles.
The Eagles are dumping everyone with big salaries. Herramins 5 mill, Demeco 6.5, Trent Cole 11.5, Carey Williams 6.5. We have one big contract as of now in Jason Peters.
I love Shady but everyone here is talking about how RB's arent valued. They just dropped an 11 million dollar RB and picked up a young star LBer. Eagles are more then 50 million under the cap.

I kinda get that, but McCoy was the major part of your offense. RBs are a dime a dozen, but kinda hard to (or atleast I would have thought) trade away one of the top RBs in the league straight across for another player. The LB is coming off of his 2nd acl injury so this is gonna be interesting. One thing is for sure. It is definitely Kelly's team now, for better or worse.

YEP.....Chip Kelly is large and in charge in philly.

Re: Wow! McCoy traded to the bills!
ah, I love this ****. In another 2 years Egal Nation will regret Chip Kelley ever came to Philly. What a bone head trying to play a run and gun college style offense in the NFL. This high, fast paced offense will blow up in his face before its all said and done. We have already seen the evidence the first 2 years. Even his own players were complaining about how tired they are halfway through the season. And the result, they were burned out and tired going down the stretch this past year and the previous year they lost a first round home playoff to the Saints who had never won a road playoff game in their history, till then. This whole scenario pleases me to no end, lmao. Egals continue to get crappier by the week. Keep that trophy case EMPTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Wow! McCoy traded to the bills!
I think Kelly has proven his O works. Back to back years of being top 5. It's the Defense that has sucked but his O has been incredible.
He inherited a team that went 8 and 8, then 4 and 12 and made them into a back to back 10 win team. He is doing things his way so no one knows how this will all turn out. Before you get to excited BJJ I think you need to give it a year or two before we know what happens.
And no one complained about the O leaving them too tired. McCoy complained about Saturday practices and that got him a one way ticket to Buffalo.

While I agree Kelly's offense seems to work fine you need to be careful about blaming the D alone. Just like you talked about how Murray controlling the ball helped the Dallas Defense you need to look at how Kelly's offense can put a ton of pressure on his defense. If they have a 3 and out, the defense can literally only be on the sideline for a minute. I think the Offense is partially to blame for how poor the defense has been

Too late Malco, I'm already excited. I don't have to wait. In two years you guys will all be screaming to get rid of Chip. Better yet, you might have to change your mascot's name to the Ducks.

Re: Wow! McCoy traded to the bills!
Heres the problem BJJ... you are assuming he is making the team worse. Infact you are saying Chip is destroying the Eagles. The difference between you and EVERYONE else is we are all sitting back and waiting to see if it works or if it fails. No one knows except for you, evidently. But judging on your past history I should be up beat. 2 years ago the Eagles were the worst team in the league and Dallas was going 16-0. I dont think any of us look at you as someone who makes good predictions.
Now let me ask you this. Would you be happy if Dallas gave their star RB a 12.5 million dollar contract for next year? If Dallas did it ties their hands from improving the D. Im guesing you wouldnt want Dallas to give Murray that much. Well Philly did just that. THey got a young and very good ILB and $11 million in cap space to fix their putrid Defense. I have no idea if Chips plan destroys the team for a 1/2 decade or if it gets them 5 straight division titles. I have no idea. Nor does anyone else... except you.

Re: Wow! McCoy traded to the bills!
I'm not saying Chip is trying to make things worse. He obviously believes in what he is doing. I'm saying the system he is trying to implement is not going to work. Damn, for a school teacher you sure are dense at times. Are you sure you don't sell women's shoes for a living.

Re: Wow! McCoy traded to the bills!
It seems like it works well IMO. I mean his O smashed your mighty Cowboys once with a back up QB and almost won a 2nd time down 21 to 0. Most everyone is impressed with what he's done especially with a chump like Mark Sanchez. Well everyone except you. Nobody knows and every one is waiting to see. I have no idea but I'll sit back and see. But obviously the only who knows football better then Chip is you.
