Well based on some of the comments I am reading by Hornacek, I think he has lost the team. They do not have any respect for him and he is also just badmouthing them now. Here are some of the comments from this article
http://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/n ... /24346709/ "You want to just play, go play in a rec league," Hornacek said after Monday's loss.
"We've got to keep reiterating the same stuff to them," Hornacek said. "We can't assume they are going to remember it every day."
"It's a hard balance," Hornacek said. "We're not out of it. You never know what could happen. We're trying to get them in. Yet you go, 'The veteran guys are going to give you your best chance.' It might turn out that those younger guys are the ones who give you the best chance."
If the coach has to tell players the same things over and over and they refuse to do it, it shows a lack of respect for the coach. I know the players on the team are low iq players but there are certain things the same players did last year or earlier in the year that they are not doing now. Total lack of focus and effort. I think Hornacek is soft on these players. I knew he was soft from the moment he did not discipline Marcus Morris when Marcus berated him during a game. All he said was oh it is over with now. Marcus apologized. It is fine. Okay coach sure. Seriously if a Spurs player did that to Popovich during a game he would be kicked off the team. I remember that Stephen Jackson was cut right before the playoffs because he was not getting along with Popovich. I think there is going to be a MAJOR overhaul of this team this summer.
