This absolutely won't happen but
Bledsoe/Goodwin
Matthews/Goodwin/Bullock
Tucker/Warren
Millsap/Good rookie
Len/Wright
With a good coach this squad can make serious noise in the playoffs

I think this is a more realistic scenario for us. We're not talking superstar so it's possible.
We'd have to overpay both of them but if this means not re-signing Knight, we'll have a ton of cap room for both.

I don't see how getting Millsap is realistic. There literally no legit reason for him to leave Atlanta.

They have enough cap space to sign him and can pay more than anyone else.

Why not? Millsap has turned into a good stretch 4 and Matthews shoots more 3s than just about anyone. Tucker can hit 3s as well. Probably better shooting than we have now and Millsap is much more active rebounding and doing the little things than Kieff.

What's everyone's opinion on the curious case of Gerald Green? I would have bet money on us trading him this year but nothing. I'm beginning to think we bring him back on another 2/3 year deal. He wouldn't be a bad 4th guard in our rotation. (Bled, Knight, Goodwin, Green). Plus he's shows he can win us games when he's on.

That's a pretty nice line up.

Re: Official Free Agent Thread: What to do with our cap space
Thomas Robinson has been traded three times and also placed on waivers by a non-playoff team in his short career after being the fifth overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
The Philadelphia 76ers claimed Robinson in order satisfy payroll-usage rules, but they've also given him a chance to play.
Robinson has averaged 9.5 points and 7.3 rebounds in 16.4 minutes (19.0 PER) of play off the bench in four games with the 76ers.
"I'm tired of getting treated like a rag doll in this league," Robinson said after his second game with the Sixers. "I just want to prove that I belong here. I'm tired of being treated like I've been treated in this league."
Robinson has been a healthy scratch for about 20 percent of his NBA games.
"Nobody's given me a chance," Robinson said. "That's pretty much it."
I don't want to sign Thomas Robinson.
Another crying guy like MoBros? I am sure he is a very good friend of them....

Let's trade
Jazz- Morris, Morris, tucker
Suns- Hayward
Sign max out Greg Monroe
Use our bird rights to keep knight
Bledsoe
Knight/Archie
Hayward/warren
Monroe
Len
All under 25 all starters would have contracts of 4 years or more with cap sky rocketing. Except for Len we would have to re up.
This team could win an nba title

Jazz wouldn't trade Hayward. We'd have to overpay quite a bit to pry him away from Utah. I like that roster though.

No chance Utah ever even answer the phone.

Re: Official Free Agent Thread: What to do with our cap space
I mentioned in the other thread that I met Babby and McD at the Orlando game tonight (sat not too far from them). Both were very nice and we made brief small talk. I did mention to McD that they should get Tobias Harris (who started off fast then tailed off during the game) next year and he basically said something to the effect of yes that would be good. Obviously they won't reveal their plans to a casual fan, but I thought it was still a pretty cool acknowledgement!

I had forgot Harris is Frye's cousin. He hates us now. Just don't see him signing here.

Re: Official Free Agent Thread: What to do with our cap space
I find it strange that some of the same people that want to see more Warren, and think he will be a star, also want us to get SFs Ike Harris.
Tucker has been playing like a stud for a few games now, pretty much back to the guy we had last year. All the effort, and he doesn't take shots out of other guys hands.
If we trade the MoBros, we better be getting a super stud in return. Love them or hate them, they put up numbers, and bring toughness that we've lacked for years.
