Were people really proclaiming Jordan to be a GOAT in 1987? A couple years into his career? I just thought that was crazy and how Jordan lost to the Sheens 2 on 1. hah

No. there was a small number of people who might have argued he was the best in the nba but most werent going to give him that so soon or without winning a ring.

his rookie year I remember thinking "I hope he can keep this up" bc I'd seen guys who'd look awesome in short spurts but then fade after the league figured them out. I thought he had a nice jumper though and figured if Dr J could be awesome with his ugly jump shot then MJ had a good chance
