Noah's had a down year, he's a 74% FT shooter "normally".

The Bulls could use a serviceful big man. If they get McGee, I hope this would help the Bulls feel comfortable in waiving Bairstow to open up a roster spot for Nate Robinson since we would have 5 serviceful bigs on the roster for the playoffs while Bairstow won't play in the playoffs this season nor get minutes next season.

McGee wants to go to a team where he can get playing time, that's not Chicago.

He also wants future security for next season. He was on the verge of signing with the Celtics today but they couldn't agree on next season. Clearly, he doesn't care about winning, just guaranteed money because he knows that ship has sailed after people have seen him play the last few seasons.

The Bulls pretty much said over the weekend without using the exact words they will not be signing anyone. People need to let Nate Rob and that ridiculous idea go. They don't want to put any more money on the books this season unless it's an actual game changer. If the Butler injury didn't force their hand, nothing will. They still think they're "good to go".

He can easily get 15 minutes in this team. If he can get Noah and Gasol down to 28 minutes and/or games off down the stretch, that would a bonus. The deal with the C's broke down because he wanted a player option; C's wanted a team option...

Honestly, i would love to see us sign Mcgee to a contract and then trade away gibson in the offseason for some SF talent, we need to shake things up on this roster, its quite apparent.

We don't need him this year but future wise he'd be nice. Lock him up on a two year deal and move Gibson in summer

If we sign him,do we have pay him 12M next season as well or how this goes now? Or he is owed by Philly the money?

Good point. He's looking for a player option, if the Celtics offer was anything to go by though, and I wonder whether the Bulls would be willing to commit to that.

No, any deal now is an entirely new deal (hence why he's looking for guaranteed money next season). Philly bought him out. The contract he was on is dead.

Highly doubtful. Just like the Celtics, almost any team is going to want a TO vs. a PO so they retain control and the ability to keep or dump him. He's not a good looking signing except for a team looking for playoff run/help.

I agree, I can't see the Bulls doing that, but it looks like it might be a dealbreaker, unless no one gives him a PO at all, which is possible.

He'll probably look to a place with more potential minutes available, especially if Boston is an indicator, and out of contenders GSW seem to be the one that could offer him the best role.

It's highly unlikely the two sides come together on something, but Javale is really solid. 15/10 on 54% FG with 3 blocks a game per/36 for his career is great, despite clearly being a flawed player. I could see someone taking him on.

It takes at least 5 months for Thibs to warm up to a new player, especially in the middle of the season...

Pending more injuries of course!

I hope Thibs has a good DVR, so he can watch some tape of JaVale's best plays of 2014 ... on Oprah's OWN network. Apparently his Moms got game
