Lakers @ Grizzlies 5pm

After the tank rolled through Miami, your Los Angeles Lakers travel to take on the Grizzlies in Memphis. The Grizzlies provide an interesting case study for the construction of a contender in LA, mainly because prized Lakers rookie Julius Randle has often been compared with Zach Randolph. Grizzlies Randolph is a well rounded offensive talent who I swear becomes the GOAT whenever he plays the Lakers. Zach can bruise in the post, he can shoot a jumper when absolutely necessary, he can face up and he is a beast on the offensive glass. The most important thing though is that the spacing works with him and Marc, since Marc can shoot the J as well. It'll be interesting to see if the Lakers can find their own Marc Gasol, a player who can shoot from at least mid-range, can pass and can protect the rim.

On the Laker side of things, with Ronnie Price out for the season and Swaggy out for a while, Lin has been getting a ton of minutes and he's made good use of them. Not much else to mention really.

Clarkson's thought process: " If I play well, the Lakers won't get a top 3 pick. If the Lakers don't get a top 3 pick, they can't draft D'Angelo Russell. If they can't draft D'Angelo Russell, I'll get to keep my starting job next year."
