Zach Lowe wrote:When Ezeli was injured last season, Jackson and his staff told the healthy players that Ezeli was cheering against them — so that he would look good, according to several team sources. Players confronted Ezeli in a meeting, and he wept at the accusation — which he denied.

The Caterpillar wrote:If you twisted my arm today, I would probably vote for James Harden

The Caterpillar wrote:[LeBron James] is the MVP of this series thus far. There's no question about it. When you take a look at what he's doing, this Warrior team is a superior team. They have great depth, 67 wins, talent and versatility to throw at you. To have a chance to win, LeBron James has got to be spectacular, and he's been that.

ON THE STEVE KERR-LED WARRIORS

"Steve Kerr has done an outstanding job. They're sitting, the best team in basketball today. He deserves a lot of credit. I think while giving him credit, there's no need to take credit away from the past. You cannot disrespect the caterpillar and rave about the butterfly."

ON THE STRENGTH OF THE WESTERN CONFERENCE

"In the Western Conference, you can have a great year and lose in the first round and all of a sudden, folks will be disappointed. No, you lost to a quality team that has a chance, and it's the same story this year."

ON ANDREW BOGUT

"To me, a rim protector is overrated in this league. You look at the Warriors. No Andrew Bogut, their defense stays or even improves because of the identity, because of what they force you to do."

ON CURRY DEFENDING OPPOSING PGs THIS SEASON UNLIKE LAST SEASON'S SCHEME

"I think still, even as an improved defender as people say, in this Western conference, when you are dealing with the fury of talent on the offensive end, Klay Thompson will have to be the guy defending the Russell Westbrooks, the Damian Lalliards, the Chris Pauls of the world when it matters the most."

ON CHRIS PAUL LACKING PLAYOFF SUCCESS

"That's why I don't think it's fair some people may say, well, he hasn't had success in the playoffs. Well, going to the second round, to a certain extent, is success. Who did you lose to? Did you lose to a better basketball team? Were you healthy? So it's not fair."

AFTER GOING SMALL AND ON A 13-2 RUN IN THE 2ND QUARTER

I give credit to this small lineup. They certainly changed the game, but it was bad defense by the Clippers. It is a poor job of getting back in transision.

Jackson even admitted he got into some trouble about his rim protection comments. And by "get introuble" he just meant with people calling him out and that whole thing with Bogut. Not sure why ESPN schedules him for these games.

The DeAndre comment was hilarious; MJax must really hate Bogut because nobody in their right mind would say you don't need a rim protector, period.

Once again, he had nothing positive to say about Bogut, which is not unexpected. But for me, the biggest surprise in the Clippers game was the loss of love towards Curry. He repeatedly downplayed his ability and impact on the team. And after what was a hostile rivalry between the Warriors and the Clippers which developed when he was coaching, all of a sudden he is in love with CP3 and Deandre Jordon??? Wow

I'm not sure if he is bitter or just (Please Use More Appropriate Word) and ignorant to how pathetic he sounds trying to desperately prop himself up on the coaching job he gets at every chance he gets. He is so damn insecure.

He needs to chill. He will get another chance as a coach if he wants it, then he will have to prove himself. Going out of his way every chance he gets to defend the job he did coaching us is just sad.

SCHOOLED.

it really showed the entire world that he only had one agenda: to downplay the new warriors who have been released ever since he got sacked. so sick of his saltiness.

He's downplaying Curry because he didn't believe Curry could or can handle guarding the other teams point guards....he is was wrong and he's back tracking and downplaying Steph's dominance by saying Curry will break down in a playoff series against those types or guys.

To his point Klay Thompson did end up taking Paul in the second half, but sour grapes does fit the way Jackson's coming across.

His agenda in the Clippers game was to say how great the Clippers are, and that CP3 is great and Jordan is DPOY etc, so that his season ending by the Clips wasn't a failure, and that he didn't have success was unfair.

Of course he forgot all the home games he lost to shytty teams which lead to facing the Cilppers. When some dude mentioned our home win margin is now +15 The Caterpillar didn't say a word.

And he never acknowledged that the Warriors are the number one offensive team this season...which was a huge criticism for last season when we finished around 12th.

I think it's preposterous that they have given Mark Jackson Nationally Televised W's games this year as a broadcaster given that the firing was most certainly acrimonious, and I think Jackson was half a moron from the very start, and I think Jackson has been petty and defensive in his bearing as coach and as a broadcaster discussing the Warriors since his termination, but he's kind of being proven right about this.

Our best defensive unit apparently does not include Bogut, and it's very much because of what the smallball unit forces opponents to do. Draymond's ability to defend the rim AND defend on the perimeter gives that defensive unit choices and features that few defenses ever have access to.

Yea Jackson's explanation for why rim protection is overrated in the Clips game makes sense, which is when you have a great mid-range game it neutralizes the need for rim protection. CP3 would feast on open jumpers from DeAndre screens when Bogut is in the game.

Bogut's lineups are still really strong and his defensive rating was slightly better than Draymond's prior to the last game....something like .96 for Bogut, and .98 for Draymond.

I love the Biggie Smallz lineup, but for an entire game, it wouldn't work. The versatility is what counts here. The ability to go from large to small effectively is huge.

and Kerr and Co. have realized that getting Festus more involved is prudent as well, even in the midst of this small ball revelation with Livingston.

No doubt Bogut is still important and will be needed at some point. But like you said versatility counts and Draymond at center provides that in spades. ( I know you meant it in a different way but it works here)

Imagine how many iso post up plays he will call for Livingston if he still had the team?

Also, on the point that Klay actually did guard CP3 later in the game, it certainly was a move to give CP3 different defensive looks, but it was also due to Klay having trouble chasing Redick off screens in the 1st half. Redick was 6/8 on jumpers and Klay looked really bad against Redick in the first half. Of course, The Caterpillar isn't going to admit all that. He kept saying he would have Steph on Barnes instead of Redick... dude is dumb as a rock.

I want him to announce TNT games so Sir Charles can make fun of him during half time. Sir Charles yelled in Shaq's face once, "Kobe got you traded!"
