Wisconsin is not a 2 seed, however, that's likely where they will end up which is unfortunate.

Really frustrated with the fact that CBS is the only channel I can't get clearly OTA. Sigh.

That Rutgers loss killed them. If they could've gone through the season with only losses to Duke and Maryland they were almost a lock for a 1 seed but losing to Rutgers is by far the worst loss of 1 seed contenders.

This is college basketball.
I hate it
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Fair point, but I hope the committee would consider that Kaminsky and Jackson were both gone for the game.

I'm sure they will but they had a double digit halftime lead and still blew it. Now maybe if one Virginia, Duke or Nova is upset early in the conference tournament and Wisconsin wins the Big Ten tournament they could sneak in as a 1 seed but that's unlikely.

This felt good after that embarrassing performance by the football team in the conference title game.

Anybody who puts significant stock in that, in spite of not having the POY in college basketball, and their starting point down the stretch, is an unmitigated moron. Blowing a lead is irrelevant. You shouldn't be punished for success early in a game in spite of not having such a key player available, and even more attrition was the breaking point.
Wisconsin is still significantly higher in the BPI than Nova, and let's see them have only two losses, if they had a couple of their best players out for games, and if they didn't play in a borderline mid major. I feel like we went thru this when the Big East disbanded in football in the mid 2000's. They were still treated like a regular major conference by many, only for them to prove they weren't in the bowls.
The fair way to play this would be to have Wisconsin as the 1 out west, and Arizona the 2. Wisconsin gets the benefit of seed, Arizona region. Then Nova plays in the east and gets the benefit of region too, as well as a seemingly soft (at this point) #1 in Virginia. In no way is it justice for the #1 and #2-3 best team in the nation to be in the same region.
Let's face it, this is solely about money. The NCAA preaches it shouldn't be a priority whatsoever for kids, yet for them it's about all they care about.

The Rutgers loss hurt big time your right, but they put a lot of stock on how teams are doing at the end of the season. Virginia lost today. If they get beat in their tourney and Badgers win theirs - I think the Badgers have a 50/50 shot. It's also quite possible that they could have a shot for a 1 seed if Vill loses in their tourney - and Badgers win out - Vil got blown out by 20 against Georgetown - Badgers beat them. That would really suck if the Badgers got put in Kentucky's bracket - they shouldn't make so much of the Badgers being in the midwest - the worst #2 seed should be put in the Kentucky bracket.

One of either Duke or Virginia HAS to lose another game. I think if the Badgers win the B1G Tourney, they get a 1 seed.

I would think a Villanova loss could do the trick too.

The problem for Wisconsin is that the Big Ten this year is weak compared to seasons past.
This is the worst MSU team which Izzo has put out there in years. Ohio St sucks outside of Russell. Purdue has some really ugly losses out of conference and wouldn't be 12-6 in conference if the league was better. I like Iowa better than OSU, but were 1-4 out of conference vs non-money gab games.
I can live with Wisconsin being a two seed if they don't win the Big Ten Tournament and/or Virginia and Nova win out. I just think it would be wrong to put the Badgers in the Kentucky bracket. To me the worst 2 seed should land in the Kentucky bracket.

For all intents and purposes Wisconsin and Nova have the same # of losses, and the B1G is better than the borderline Big East in reality. BPI seems to say so, and RPI saying the opposite is in all likelihood another glitch in that highly flawed system. The same one which led them to prop up the A10 last season, only for them to fall flat in the tourney. I'm confident the B1G does better than the Big East in the tourney. Wisconsin should be ranked ahead of Nova if they win out, and hopefully the committee comes to their senses on that b4 selections.
