So happy they were able to tie it up. It would have sucked to get a loss on the first game in front of that crowd. Thank god for Kaka!

Awesome atmosphere. Still got to get used to the MLS play style, but it was an amazing atmosphere and I'm glad for the city and the fans.

Ref **** us over. 2 of those 3 take downs that were yellow cards were legitimate fouls/penalties. I thought we left the **** USL Pro refereeing behind us.

Also, the straight red for Collin was a joke. Yellow at worst.

Karma came back though. Kaka's take was deflected in and man was I relieved to take the 1-1 tie.

Phenomenal crowd of 62,510. So many people. So much traffic. So much energy. Our city should be extremely proud of itself tonight.

Rivas was bad up top. Offside way too much. May as well have gone with Rochez.

So what is the team called, Orlando City? Are they lions? I saw on ESPN highlights they used "The Ultra Violets". I have no idea.

They're the Orlando City Soccer Club.
You can call them the Lions as the official team nickname.

Phenomenal day.

Adam,

Not defending Rivas, but offsides are often a result of lack of chemistry. This is the first game for these lads together, gotta give it a little bit of time.

Wow what a great experience that was to attend live in person. Just tremendous. We should really be proud as a city how we showed up and represented. In terms of the game, it was a tight one but I felt we outplayed them, just couldn't get those shots to go in earlier. The refs were terrible. Just terrible. 3 yellows for diving? Come on man. 1 red for a tackle. Just ridiculous. When that Kaka goal went it was pandemonium. Just wow. Overall I am happy with the result and I hope the people watching around the world saw that we are serious, this isn't no Mickey Mouse team, we are for real. Great job Orlando!

Also the Citrus Bowl is soooo much better than it used to be. Great job on the Bowl!

This was literally the second time Rivas played with this side in an actual match.

That said he didn't seem to have great fitness once it got to the 70th minute or so. Jury still out on that one. Orlando is really hot come May-July

Those were really bad dives. No defense doing that. Quite bush league and the studs up two footed tackle by Collin was dastardly really. Could've broken Villa's leg. I get it that Aurilien is excited....but

Yeah they have to lower the price of beer if they want to keep customers coming. This is not the NFL where fans will come no matter what, you have to give customers a full experience to jump into soccer, non expensive beer is one of the ways to go.

In the days after Kaká scored the game-tying goal to save Orlando City’s MLS debut, the Brazilian playmaker said he received numerous calls from friends and family in Europe and Brazil who had watched the game live.

“Because in Brazil they had a very good game, São Paulo and Corinthians, and just 14,000 supporters in the game — it’s a big game in Brazil — and here it’s 60,000 in our game,” Kaká said. “So everybody was speaking about that and everybody was asking me how it is to play here in this atmosphere and in the league. A lot of questions about that, and I just said it’s amazing, it’s unbelievable.”

Did any realGM'ers use SunRail to get to the stadium? How was your experience?

With about half the crowd for the next game, will parking be an issue?

The Magic better get good fast, or OCFC will overtake them.
