If we lose out on Wes Matthews, I want us to go strong after Kris Middhleton, Knight's former backcourt mate.
Middhleton is young, very good defensively, good shooter, improving all around offensive game and AMAZING size for SG.

The front office has not delivered a crap product, actually. I am not saying we should be winning the championship this year but our record should be much better than it is. Hornaceks job isn't to reach realistic expectations like a championship, his job is to do a good job of coaching the team he has and he has not done that this year.
Even if it was an "unfinished crap product" that doesn't justify Hornaceks horrible rotations, lack of adjustments, and brain farts in crunch time.
Im sorry but I think your opinion is a load of bollocks and here's why:
Coming into the season most of us speculated we'd be in a similar position to last season, and if not taking a step back. Look what happened: We're only a few games out of the playoffs. That's exactly what we expected! Sorry but this team is not as good as the Spurs/Clippers/Mavs.
You're right about our record though: it should be better! We've lost several games to buzzers and in OT. But you know what that's called? Bad luck! Anyone with a shred of faith in probability knows that. The coin ended up tails 5 times in a row. But life goes on.
The FO put a bunch of guys who can run the floor on the team and got a coach that would let them run during this rebuild. That's pretty much all that can be said. We're still above .500 and honestly in the west, that's about as good as it gets for a team like ours.
I strongly disagre
Hornaceks unbelievably stupid rotations, especially at the end of games (No Len) has costed us several wins this year. His in game coaching has been horrendous with a lack of effective adjustments and there is little emphasis placed on defense. Our offense is also pretty ugly to watch and most but not all of the blame falls on Horny and his system there. I also think Horny has lost this team. He needs to go.
The fact is we have a below average coach that isn't doing his job well and is not helping the team succeed. Why not try to get a better coach so we can give our development as a team a boost?
At the end of the day, there is no chance in hell that Jeff Hornacek can ever coach a team to a championship. I do not see it. He is way too unbelievably stupid to be worth trusting to help us get anywhere near that goal no matter what our roster is.

Just let kjdills be the gm
Suns- George
Pacers- tucker, Morris, morris, 2 first
Clears up 4.5 in cap space
Throw a max out to Monroe
Resign knight 5 years 60 million (bird rights)
Bledsoe/ Goodwin
Knight/ bogdonavich
P.George/ warren
Monroe/ A.brown
Len/Wright
Everyone on the roster is 25 or younger ( except wright) on long contracts have our 2 stars in Bledsoe and George.
We are a LONG team with 3 players standing at 6'9 or taller as starters.
I know Goodwin is not a point guard but we will always have athirr Bledsoe or knight on the court so it's almost like we have 2 backup sg due to the rotation.
Monroe is a good post player and if Len can improve that jumper this lineup could be one built to win a title in 2 years and compete from day 1

Re: Official Free Agent Thread: What to do with our cap space
Hornacek is partly to blame also.
People absolving him from the losses are forgetting his "tiny" ball lineups when the Suns need stops and defenses.
Seeing a front court of Tucker, Morris, Morris during crunch time is pretty much giving up on interior defense and gambling that the pressure is enough to cause a turn over rather than have size/length force a bad shot and grab boards.
If Len was a crappy free throw shooter I can understand... But the guy can shoot free throws and have a very good nose for the rebound and not to mention he alters shots.
Again I think Hornacek has trust issues with the youth. Which is understandable if you have star veterans. But Len is the best big man the Suns have... He should be there at the very end assuming he has not fouled out or injured.
Also I do think he is also being instructed to show case everyone.
I think Warren, Goodwin, Bullock have a place on the roster for years to come hence McD is telling Hornacek to give some vets minutes to give them value. But that would mean Suns GM OR Coach care about the well being of non-future suns players which doesn't make sense lol.

Hornacek has his faults and should take part of the blame, I'll readily admit that. But those who think that somehow getting rid of the mild mannered coach and replacing him would make all our troubles (unbalanced, low BB IQ and very younger roster) go away is completely delusional.

Bottom line is Presti needs to get Bennett to cough up some the Harden savings and build a few nice courses in OKC. It should work. At least it did in Field of Dreams.

That's what I've been saying for a while. We could start him at the 3 right away IMO (6'8, 6'10 wingspan).

I just hope whatever moves we make in FA, that we don't get guys that make the current young guys redundant. Get that we need talent across the board, but theres no point drafting young guys just to push them further down the depth chart.

Re: Official Free Agent Thread: What to do with our cap space
I would throw everything and the kitchen sink at the Pacers for Paul George (except for Alex Len). Give them two unprotected first from us, the Cavs pick, the two Heat picks, Bledsoe/MoBros/Warren. S&T Knight for a future first to whoever wants him, include that pick for George. Do it.
I'll be happy rolling into next season with Goodwin/George/Len. Have George recruit David West/Paul Millsap, whoever he wants, some veteran leadership, Wes Mathews too.

I remember hearing a few years ago that the Lakers were going to try to get our staff.
Thing is, for the medical staff, it's totally different than players and coaches. They are doing a great job and have homes in Phoenix. Why move when you are in a stable environment.
I know the poster is mostly joking but I don't think anything outside of a ludicrous amount of money would send them packing.

NO.
Durant wouldn't have net the Thunder this package. Nobody trades unprotected picks anymore.

Terrible.
Paul George is not even close to being a top 5 player in the NBA. I don't see him ever being top 10 either. He's not that good of an offensive player.
6(!!!) first round picks, several of which are unprotected, Warren, Morris twins and Bledsoe? LOL! That would be the biggest overpay in a trade in NBA history.
The only players that you could even make a case for being worth that are Lebron, Westbrook, Curry, Harden, Davis, and Durant. Paul George is not in the same stratosphere as those players and never will be.

In 2021, when Riley won't be around, and because they had no assets. Who else have traded unprotected picks since the new CBA took place? The Nets? Look at them now. Even the Harden trade had no unprotected picks involved.

You said "nobody", I just pointed out one and it was super recent when they made the trade. I think Durant would garner a few unprotected picks. I'm not saying we should do anything close to what was suggested to get PG, but unprotected picks can be had, and even for an guy that's semi allstar, and expiring.

Damn, on the latest BS report, they talk about how, before the injury, Matthews would have gotten either $100 million from the Blazers, or possibly 4/85 from 8-10 other teams who would have paid that this summer.
