This has to be the worst team to ever have a winning record in March.

The winning record isn't going to be around for long, so we'll lose that title soon enough lol

Too bad we aren't in the East, we would be fighting for home court advantage with that winning record. :o

1. Goodwin was actually doing a good job "facilitating" and doing a "Point Guard" job, ironically arguably better than the other 2 "point guards" on the team. Yet got yanked out even though he was part of the resurgent that got the lead back within 10.

2. Markieff Morris, Marcus Morris, Gerald Green, these 3... I watched all game, just focused on getting their hand on the ball because they want to score. Making plays or facilitating was not even considered. Selfish and just low IQ.

3. Curry just toyed with the Suns perimeter defense (as he does with most teams), but the Suns were supposed to have athletic Point Guards that can tire him up atleast.

4. Brandon Wright had an amazing PER when he was getting open looks via great passing or setups for him... on the Suns he is being given the ball 7-8 feet away from the ring and being asked to create shots.... WTF.

Thomas scoring prowess was never questioned.
On the Celtics team, where he is next to 2 other point guards that are not ball dominant and dependent on controlling the offense, he will get a lot of usage. Bradley and Smart are happy to be "defensive" focus and happy doing that even if they dont put up points on the board.... their mentality isnt about getting points and looking good on the score sheet... Thomas doesnt clash with them.

Minus Len, Warren, Goodwin...
These 3 are the ones that get me fired up and get me cheering loudly...

Bledsoe, I think is "phoning" it in, he is just going through the motions...disappointing since he can be so much more damaging using his physical traits.

Tucker is just "MEH" when going up against someone who is as energetic and physical as he is... but you have to admire his efforts.

I feel sorry for Brandan Wright... looks like a pretty good Pro, but just stuck on a team using him incorrectly.
Brandon Knight?... I feel bad for... he was on a playoff team putting up career numbers and on a much better "team-oriented" atmosphere.

Bullock... well I dont even see him play.

The rest, I feel indifferent for... just down-hill skiers.

Lol

I was laughing during that play... Green was asking for it so he can jack it..

Goodwin was having none of it.. wanting to facilitate and have some actual plays happening.

I'm starting to believe that Goodwin can play PG in the future..

He got blocked the crap out of him during a soft layup... but those are the plays he will learn... he will realize he needs to attack the man going for the block to draw the foul... instead of going up soft away from the ring. As early as next year, after another off-season of adding muscle he will/should be going hard towards the defender, thats an And-1 waiting to happen since the defender is inside the half-circle.

He has the right mentality, as in focus on rebounding, block shots and hustling down low for points...

But he rejected something like 13 million a year from the Cavs... with Lebron James likely to re-sign their for the rest of his career.... he wants 15+ million it seems.

+/- isnt so fair for players playing with 3-4 other duds with him.

I think Michael Jordan will post a +/- of Zero with the Suns "core" players.

Wait. You weren't trolling? With a straight face, you're saying a 50-12 team would be .500 if the refs called more moving screens? The only thing separating the Warriors and Suns is moving screens?? LOL.

Tough to win games if your bread and butter to get guys open is moving screens, which would put two of their best defenders (biggest culprits) on the bench for foul trouble....yep it's quite a possibility that they would be closer to our record. We've lost many buzzer beaters, and tons of games by the foul line, we should easily have a better record than we have.

Are you saying they don't do moving screens? :o Or are you just trolling my posts?

SunsReadyToRoll wrote:I know Bled is still pretty young but what is his ceiling scoring wise. I never see him out up huge scoring numbers which makes me believe that he'll never average 20ppg maybe 18.5-19ppg the most?

I think he can be a legit 20ppg scorer on decent efficiency. He doesn't have many big scoring games because he's out there trying to figure out how to run a team like a true PG but if he was given the role as a pure scoring PG (ala IT), he would average 20ppg. If Goran can find a balance between passing and shooting like he has this season, there's no reason why Bledsoe couldn't do the same.

No, he doesn't have big scoring games because of his low BB IQ. Same reason for his TOs, and why he'll never be as good as St. Goran.

But in all seriousness, yes, he could easily be a 20/7/6 guy by the end of next season. As soon as he has an offseason that isn't riddled with months of RFA back and forth junk, and has a team that has completely changed over 50% of it's personnel in just over 50 games.

Bledsoe/(FA)/Goodwin
Knight/Goodwin/Bullock
Warren/PJ/Granger/Mook
(FA)/Kieff/(rookie)
Len/Wright/(rookie)

Barring any trades in the summer, if we can roll out this team next year, I think we'll be in pretty good shape. That's 11 players. We grab 2 FAs (backup PG and starting PF, or at least a backup), and 2 rookies (PLEASE get a C and a PF). Then we also have Bogdanovic coming over in 2016, so our SG position should be set. Our SF position is set. Just need to solidify/build a much better PF rotation, and a developmental C. I think if we roll with that line-up, we're an 8th seed at a minimum, but if we don't address the PF position, we're likely a 9 or to seed again.

I can agree with that, but I guess it would all depends on who we get in FA and who we draft. We also have Alec Brown, who has great height and range. If he could bulk up, while keeping his hustle, he could be a decent third string center.

We also have to address our coaching staff. If Jeff is going to stay the head coach, he needs a vet assistant to lean on. A Del Harris type of guy. I would love to steal the Czar from commentating.

here, you dropped these, Naval

Why is it so hard to admit we are a lousy team, and aside of 2-3 youngsters, are comprised of low thinkers and bad fundamentalists ?

Its not going to be that different next yr.... as long as we do not have an actual PG and PF.

sunskerr wrote:Some people here are overreacting. Im sorry but I really can't take the stupidity on here and its time I get it off my chest:

We're not a good team. Stop acting like we should have 50 wins. You also do realise we're playing against the best team in the west? What did you expect? Holy crap, I cannot believe how stupid some people can be. If I was a moderator I'd have banned you all for being short sighted whingers but since that isn't the case I have to log on and read piles of crap about "how to fix the team" when in reality stuff like that cannot be done in one or two games. That stuff is done in the offseason.

We've gotten a lot younger and are playing ~.500 basketball. What more can you reasonably demand? Who else do you want to coach this team? Byron Scott? Tyrone Corbin? Brian Shaw? Go **** yourselves, those guys suck and don't know anything about the benefits of running and shooting 3s. Ok, so Hornacek is hesitant to play Archie? So therefore he should be fired? McDonough should be fired? What is wrong with you losers? Archie will get his eventually because Gerald Green is playing like ass. Next year or eventually this year he'll get his minutes. People are also so quick to forget where this franchise was before McDonough came here. It was the worst years post Nash or heck, even post Stoudemire.

tl;dr idgaf read the whole thing. And if someone here wants to suspend me then that's ok too. It needed to be said because this board is a two story outhouse and there are very few people here actually grounded in the reality that we're an absolutely average team.

This is pretty much my blue screen. This forum is unbearable now.

Problem with this is that we aren't "playing ~.500 basketball". We're playing .364 basketball, and particularly bad .364 basketball at that (of the four wins, only one was comfortable; of the seven losses, four were embarrassing and two were to bad teams).

Hey, at least we've built enough of a cushion to where, even if we only win like 4 more games, we probably still will hold onto that 13th pick, and not have anyone catch us to give us a better pick. What more could you ask for?
