Is Green keeper?

As a Knicks fan I really want him. I know he is coveted by your team but how much is the question? What you see him getting in the open market or do you feel he is a Spurs lifer

He's a keeper but we'll see how much the teams willing to pay him. I can see someone offering him 10+ a season in free agency and i'm not sure if can afford to pay him that.

It's hard to predict what's fair value for players right now with the TV deal coming in. But if I had to predict his contract if there wasn't any TV deal, I'd say he'd be a little above the league average. The league average salary is 6 million. So I'm thinking atleast 7 mil and could possibly reach 8 mil a year. Perhaps a 4 year 30 mil type deal. It'll be interesting what the new league average salary will be after the TV deal. If it goes to about 8 million a year, then Green might get 10 million a year kinda deal.

He should get about a mil or two above the league average salary. I don't think teams have any delusions of him becoming a star. He'll be most coveted by playoff teams because he's a role player but a very good one. Either way, I expect the Spurs to do anything to keep him unless we're just gonna make a huge change this season bringing in a whole new group. Our history says that the Spurs' first focus for the summer will be to try to keep the core together, and then to try to structure contracts where we can possibly add one significant free agents to join. But keeping the core intact is and has always been a priority for the Spurs. I'd think Green is a huge part of that core.

Definitely. And I think he gets from 8 to 10m/year.
Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”
