I am, admittedly so, not a big Bledsoe fan but I think what is really holding him back from taking the next step is himself seriously overestimating his dribbling skills. Once he realizes that he doesn't have Chris Paul like handles he will be a much better player. Question is if he ever will, already being five seasons into his career (starter or not, doesn't matter
)

You can't mention those according to HR.
Wait. You weren't trolling? With a straight face, you're saying a 50-12 team would be .500 if the refs called more moving screens? The only thing separating the Warriors and Suns is moving screens?? LOL.
Screens/picks are a big deal for GSW... and they DO know how. Whoever is the ref or the opponent.. they don't often get nailed for moving screen. If it's IMPORTANT to do good screens... you coach up everyone to do it legit. Sometimes it's a thin line but t IS something where if you really know what you are doing.. you can do it. I've seen High School teams execute screens and picks by the book. Bogut and Green are among the best at screens. They sendom screw up that.
The Suns... right now..are pretty good. They'd do swell in the East. In the West... the Suns,Pelicans, Thunder, Spurs are fightng for the 7-8 slots.....and any of them wuld be a tough East team. Even Utah and Sac are pretty decent... but will be lotto. Future development by players on the team will help but the Suns need to get lucky..find-somehow one more real plus player. Note- Klay was not a top 10 pick. Dray Green was a round 2. GSW COULD have got zip on those picks. They could have prematurely dealt them for "whatever". The WEST... is just NASTY. Anthony Davis and Cousins are becoming young superstars... likely do not see the playoffs.
CENSORED... No comment.

Suns are 7-13 in their last 20 games. The Dubs have lost 12 games all year. They have a double digit point differential. You're a special kind of homer when you're chalking up the difference between the two teams to refs not calling something they neglect league wide. Not because they have an MVP candidate, another all-star, good coaching and the deepest team in the league. Wake the hell up and stop overrating the Suns roster.RunDogGun wrote:HootieRules wrote:RunDogGun wrote:You can't mention those according to HR.

Tough to win games if your bread and butter to get guys open is moving screens, which would put two of their best defenders (biggest culprits) on the bench for foul trouble....yep it's quite a possibility that they would be closer to our record. We've lost many buzzer beaters, and tons of games by the foul line, we should easily have a better record than we have.
Are you saying they don't do moving screens?Or are you just trolling my posts?

7-13 in their last 20 is not pretty good. Wake up.
When you trade your best player at the deadline, the record afterwords speaks for itself. Unless you're under the same illusion as the front office that Markieff is a better player than Dragic.

I totally agree.
Seems it definitely was our appalling system to blame. Funny how now he's gone our scoring is way down. He was the only consistent scorer and was a threat from behind the arc and atracking the basket.
Bad move Suns, bad move.

I've been saying it since well before the deadline. IT at 7.5 million >>>> Bledsoe at 14 million. It isn't a even close. Bledsoe is a below average shooter with horrible PG instincts and IT is an elite shooter that can pass and dribble better than Bledsoe.
ITs contract was easy to trade. There's no way we could have gotten a 1st round pick for Bledsoe.
Looking back, we should have just done a S&T of Bledsoe for Monroe and went with IT as a starter.

In Len We Trust...
dude, no point crying over spilt milk.. also McD sees Bledsoe on a different tier as Thomas...
Bledsoe's best is also a lot better than Thomas. But I do like Thomas at 7.5 million.
I actually thought they were going to keep Thomas when shipped Dragic. But the upside of trading both is it frees up Goodwin and allows Bogdanovic to have minutes next season. But then they got Knight, but he can play off the ball so... thats something different.
The question is... is the Bledsoe / Knight combo, the BACKCOURT that McD has envisioned to carry the Suns forward?
if so... I'm concerned a bit.

I'm not crying over it. I completely understand how difficult trading Bledsoe at the trade deadline would have been. I don't see any trade with any team that would have been in the least bit appealing to us. We at least got a (late) 1st out of Thomas. Also, hindsight is 20/20. Looking back I wish we would have traded Bledsoe for Monroe but at the time I was 100% against it.
My concern is that I am not sure how much better Bledsoe is going to get. I have a weird feeling that he is pretty much going to stay at this level and not improve his flaws (Shooting, playmaking, turnovers) and it might hurt us.

Bledsoe at least has that killer instinct while IT will never be happy with his role. Everyone will doubt his ability due to his physical limitations. I don't think he will be getting a larger contract in the near future. Don't forget that he is playing on a horrible Celtic team that doesn't seem to have a bright future though I would argue that the SUNS are not much better.
I love how IT player but he is not a good fit for this team. He will always have a chip on his shoulder and I hope his game continues to evolve.

IT was always great bang for your buck on his deal. But he's not a starting calibre PG, he's proven that with the Kings, with the Suns and even Boston is bringing him off the bench. He's a guy you bring off the bench and finish the game. This is Bledsoe's first full season with the Suns so he still has plenty of time to get better and show he's worth his $80m deal. Right now it's obvious to see he isn't pulling his weight but he's still a young guy with a ton of potential.

On a team without much scoring talent, he'll naturally shine. But how much better a team are they really?

How the **** has he proven to not be starting caliber? When he averaged 20 and 6 last year on good efficiency he proved to not be starting caliber? How about now on the Celtics? He is really solidifying himself as a bench player by scoring 20+ every game and winning Eastern Conference player of the week.
This entire "IT is a bench player" myth is all because of his height. Please give me 1 reason other than height why Kyrie Irving is a starting PG and Isaiah Thomas isn't.

Re: Game 65: Golden State Warriors (48-12) @ Phoenix Suns (33-31)
I see people saying that we don't get calls. That is such a whiny/bitchy thing to say. Blaming the refs EVERY single game.....come on man! I can see blaming the refs here and there but complaining we don't get calls EVERY single game is not smart. Bottomline, bad teams...ie the Suns....don't get calls. Good teams do. Good teams overcome bad calls. Bad teams...ie the suns...don't overcome bad calls.
Also in case anyone missed it markeiff and the Suns are tops in techs. The Suns are a low IQ team that make bad on the court decisions and they don't EARN calls.
People please just stop with the "Suns don't get calls" nonsense. It's what I expect from low IQ teams to complain about...ie the Suns. It's not what I expect from Suns fans.

valid point, but how much worse a team are we since both trades and we weren't great to begin with

That we'll never know. We move Goran at the same time and he was likely the most affected by the presence of IT (he had to play SF at times FFS). Had we kept Goran and Beldsoe together, who knows.

For Mr Poop, and others that don't see what many see: Goran Dragic has doubled his free throw attempts a game since being in Miami, from 2.5 to now 5. Yet his shot attempts have drop from 13 to 10. We draw the contact, we just don't get the calls. I don't know the reason, but we often see a lot of contact with no calls, and touch fouls called against. The amount of contact has nothing to do with low IQ players.
Another example: Harden kicks LeBron in the nuts, and he stays in the game. Morris goes for a block and with Goran's off arm help, Markieff hits Goran in the head, and Morris gets ejected. Same game, Whiteside hits Len twice coming down from a dunk. The second time he hangs on the rim and purposely comes down on Lens head. Len pushes him off, Whiteside tackles Len. Not only does Len get ejected, but also receives a greater fine.
Maybe we lack a star, maybe we come out soft, and the other team comes out aggressive, who knows and who cares. A foul is a foul. You can't let a large amount of contact go on a drive on one end, and call a touch foul on the other end. It happens all too often for us this season. Moreover, the free throw differential in our games have been ridiculous, yet we still draw contact on almost every drive. Losing IT hurts a lot, because he would get to the line better than anyone on our team.

Brandon Knight has dropped from 3.7 to 2.7 free throw attempts since coming here.
