he tried hard to make ASG starter, and now he realizes there's no point busting his balls to be a first round exit at best

I feel that 60% of it is mentality towards the game right now, 40 towards his body. I think he is playing through some tough injuries but he isn't that hustle player I saw him transform into earlier this season.

There's no effort to get good shots for anyone, no ball movement, stupid gambling defensively by everyone. This team's system is complete garbage.

Lowry was masking a lot of this with his heroics, and now that he's come back down to earth he and everyone else on the team look pretty bad.

There's no accountability. Lowry, DD, Lou, GV all play "hero ball". It's becoming clear that the shot selection is terrible.

Is this what the coach expects? Because the only ones I see getting benched are JJ & JV & the same hero ball game in and game our

I'm not buying the injury crap, most players this time of year have nagging injuries. You think Harden and LBJ aren't hurting one way or another carrying their teams. As for being tired from carrying the team playing at an MVP level. He wasn't playing that good. There were several other PGs who had better #s leading into the all star game. He was playing very well but MVP like #s? Gimme a break. If he is already tired from half a season then he is simply not keeping himself this shape which is rather obvious looking at him compared to last year. The lack of effort he exerts on defense is embarrassing, made even worse because he is supposed to be a leader on this team.

Lowry is what he always has been and that's why hes had problems with coaches. He does it in spurts and then decides to coast and take lazy shots and tune out the coaches. He has never gone through a full season with consistency playing at a high level. What he is now is exactly how he was playing up until Xmas last season. Then the trade rumours started and he realized he had to play for a contract so he went on his little spurt. This year the excitement of a new season and incentive to get to the all star game motivated him for another spurt. Now he just got lazy again. Get used to it. He will be like this the next 3 seasons.

I really don't think he will be a Raptor 2 years from now. The team will come to realize that his play is too bipolar to be the PG on a serious playoff team.

to my eyes it just looks like his shot's not falling. He had hand issues recently, I don't think his mentality has changed that much but we sure could use some of that old mojo.

it's interesting to me that we haven't really been able to catch fire this year like we did last. Last season once one of our guys started hitting the other guys seemed to get a boost from it and also raised their game, this year... not so much. Maybe twice all year.
Pascal to the future.

Isn't it about damn time to stop comparing raptors/raptors players to what they were in the first half of the season ? Most of the players were different at the first half since they were hitting ridiculous shots and now those shots are just not going in. Blame coach, blame players, blame anyone else, but this is current Raptors that have been playing like this pretty much after the allstars. Team need changes in the offense and defense, but I don't see that happening ever.

To me the difference is really only that he's not getting inside and to the free throw line as much as he was earlier this year. But he was also doing that more earlier because Demar was out. Lowry has been mediocre on 3s all year long which is really the only difference from his efficiency from last season. If he was hitting 3s at a 36-38% clip he'd be fine but for some reason his 3pt shooting has dropped majorly this season. His transition pull up 3s almost never drop. He has a terrible midrange game and that drive, stop, turn around jumper is a horrendous shot that probably goes in 1 out of 10 times.

His career high in fg% is .435 and he's sitting at .415 right now. The problem is that his 3pt% is 32% compated to 38% last year.
