There is nothing generational about Whiteside AT ALL. Have you seen him play or do you just look at box scores? His actual talent level,both physical and skill wise are not anything special. He's just an active athletic big. Generational is Duncan, Dwight, ect.

I agree to an extent. The numbers he's put up 54 games into his career are generational. But I think he's an all star center when he hits his stride.

Not right now though. Have to see what his averages smooth out to. And see how he improves after an offseason and training camp with us. He's been improving drastically every month and that's without having plays being ran for him. You run your team through a generational player. He's not that kind of player, not that we've seen yet anyway. Just an excellent starting center so far.

I didn't say he reached there yet, but the things he does cannot be schemed against without throwing multiple players at him which would open up the game for others. He's not hitting contested fadeaways and multiple isos. To say his physical isn't "anything special" is ridiculous...only him and Gobert are even in the same class in regards to length at legit 7 feet. His rebound and block rates rank at historic levels....the guy can outrebound opponent frontlines.

He has 2 weaknesses, his passing, and the major one, his head.

Did you not watch Whiteside completely house two of the best frontlines in the league in the Bulls and Clippers(which includes Jordan).

Again, what he does well, there's no luck or fluke involved. He has to be right between the ears.
