Re: All things Bulaga
Bulaga will give Pack a deal like Cobb did. Pack players have the hots to get to the SB and value success as much as money as long as TT is reasonable. I expect Bulaga to get 7.5m Raji to get 3m Guion 1m and sign a FA ILB like Spikes or Foster or if they disappear maybe old Larry Foote for 1 year? Tramon is trickier as Seattle is also successful and Tramon knows Schneider.

Re: All things Bulaga
It's nice to know most Packer fans are so knowledgeable.
Very down to Earth, glad to see we are going to be consistent but cautiously optimistic. Most teams would be claiming Superbowl after these signings.
Then again most teams have no clue how to draft and have to overpay players like this away from other teams while hoping they fit into their system.

I am perfectly content with keeping a core group of guys with a proven track record of success together, even if it means overpaying a bit. Whether or not you think he was worth it, we re-signed Cobb for a good 1-2 mil under his market value.
Take those savings and add it to Bulaga's number. The guy deserves his money with the year he had.

Posted this in the other thread, but Bulaga is rumored to have signed for 5 years, 32 million.

Re: All things Bulaga
$6.75 mil per year is a pretty damn good deal. I was expecting him to be in the 7-8 range honestly.
I'm assuming we have plenty of cap room to spare even after handing out these deals. We should still have money to sign Tramon to a nice front-loaded, short term contract.

Feels good to be able to say we'll have one of the best offensive lines in football this season protecting the best QB in the league.

Thompson has to be looking to get a big name. We are *really* backloading these contracts. I could have put up with a contract hitting for 8 in every season to lock up Bulaga though. Great contract.

It could just be squaring up with expected salary cap increases. I don't know what big names are really left right now at the positions we're probably looking at (ILB, CB, TE, DL)?

I think TT is going to wait for the second wave of FA and try and find this year's Guion. Try and get the most out of a cheap Vet on a short deal.

Did Bulaga turn down more money like Cobb did?

It's not confirmed, but it sounded like he did.
