Honestly, don't let it get to you. It's just BS and Ujiri has been doing this crap ever since he got to Toronto.
Wiggins will be here for a long, long time. You can bank on it.
Oh I'm not worried about Wiggins leaving, it just kind of pisses me off, mainly because he has been doing that stuff for a while. He needs to be called on it.

Wiggins is soft spoken and if it were up to him, I think he stays with minny though hell and high water.
The only possibly hiccup i see is his parents. His parents were the ones that pulled Wiggins out of CFC and brought hin back home. But they did like Minny enough to uproot the entire family and his sisters both play HS hoops in Minny and seem to enjoy the better competition.

It hasn't even been a year since we've had Wiggins on the team and the Raptors are gunning for him. Do they not understand how rookie-scale contracts work? Its highly likely we'll have him for 9 years, just what part of that do the Raps not get? In any case if I was Flip I'd make a similar type of comment about a a superstar caliber player that Toronto...... oh wait. just kidding.

Re: The Andrew Wiggins Thread
Many of Wiggins detractors love to to use DRTG to label him as a turnstyle defender.
Harper goes in detail about Wiggins defense.

Basically does confirm the eye test that Flip does indeed love to leave Wiggins on an island.
Harper goes in detail about Wiggins defense.
There have been 18 players in the NBA this season that have defended at least 80 possessions in isolation and Wiggins is the sixth best defender on that list. He rarely fouls in those situations (5.9 percent of those possessions end up at the free throw line) and opponents score only 38.8 percent of the time.

Re: The Andrew Wiggins Thread
I think he is more frustrated with the officiating and has kinda checked out. He was great the 1q, then pj and the morris twins were grabbing and slapping everything's wiggs tried to post or cut to the rim. It was basically a repeat of Barnes on wiggins from the game prior. Near the end of the 1st, wiggs threw his arms in the air and gave the officiating crew a dirty look.
Wiggs needs to fight through this because the refs are obviously calling open season on him since he went to the media and said he started getting calls after complaining.
If wiggs continues to slip while noel continues to play great ball, the ROY might go to noel because of "what have you done lately" fully entrenched in the minds of the voters.

My favorite thing has to be how they were arguing how Wiggins would be the weak rookie of the year because of his PER, but Noel's PER is fine well just because.
This.

No. Nerlens team has less talent and more wins. I can see voters giving him ROY.

Nerlens has less talent and more wins in the East. I can't see voters giving him ROY.

Re: The Andrew Wiggins Thread
ROY vote isn't about team wins or defense. It's about the best offensive player. The number of ROY winners in its history (dating back to 1952) who have scored less than 10 ppg = ZERO. Noel is at 9.1 right now.
He's a good player but he has no chance at this award.

I wonder what Love said back when he was asked as a rookie.
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
