I think what's worse is that the reigning conference champs just got a lot better too...hoping there's some method to the madness.

Bradford and Alonso > McCoy, Foles, draft picks?

This is the worst trade Ive seen in Philly. The expectation I had for this offseason after the McCoy trade and not resigning Maclin were pretty big because of a possible youth movement and cap space.

Walter Thurmond signed.. more Ducks with injury histories. Also redundant with Boykin, possible he could be gone soon?

To be fair, Thurmond is more than just an Oregon product, but yeah.

Sure, he's also an okay slot corner. Hard not to see a trend though. I just hope we intend to play him with Boykin and not instead of

Really bizarre trade yesterday, though I guess if Bradford is the guy Chip wanted, Foles isn't really a loss? The draft pick hurts though. And I refuse to believe that one article that said teams picking at the top of the draft prefer Bradford over Jameis/Mariota. It just doesn't make any sense at all. This move screams that Chip overpaid to get the guy he wanted. I can't imagine a reality in which a team would trade down from #1 or #2 to #20 to get the chance to coach an overpaid QB that hasn't been healthy in like 4 years. I'd imagine it would take Bradford, 2 2015 first round picks, and more to move up to the top 2 spots at this point. Trading the #1 pick for an injury prone QB and future picks doesn't provide any more immediate help than keeping the pick and taking a QB would.

Bout to sign Ryan Matthews too

I'm Gona keep my feelings reserved until after the draft. Might just me being too hopeful (or stupid), but I don't think we're done adding these Duck players...

Still don't see how this wasn't Bradford and 10 for Foles, 20, and next year's 2nd. THAT trade would make a lot of sense. Kelly got fleeced as bad as the Magic and the Pelicans did by Hinkie.

look, I understand this "sport science" stuff, and think its great to have and use.

BUT, if your so into advanced #'s,SCIENCE, and such.....id say the %'s aren't in your favor if your counting on brining in a ton of guys coming off of pretty serious injuries along with histories to injuries as well.

I can see taking a flier on a guy or 2.....but outside of Maxwell, every single guy were bringing in has injury concerns.

I've always felt that the media pushed the Mariota-Philly idea and Chip just let them run with it while he quietly carried out his actual plan. Becoming more and more convinced that I was right.

Chip was jealous of all the attention Hinkie was getting for master-minding an unprecedented crazy plan.

Hinkie, however, just happens to be a genius, Chip... not so sure

To be fair, Chip is slowly learning Hinkie's plan. The first step in the plan was trading and letting high salary players go. Then sign and trade for injured players who have upside. Not sure of his next move.

Yeah I'm starting to think that you are right that he had no intention of trying to trade up for Mariota OR he did want him initially but then had a sudden change of heart when he knew that he wasn't going to get all of the guys he wanted in free agency (i.e. McCourty, Franklin, Gore, Andre, etc.) since they will probably have to address their needs at WR, S, and OL in the draft and giving up a bonanza of picks for Mariota wasn't worth leaving those holes unfilled.

Still, if he does plan on keeping Bradford, the Rams should have been the ones giving us picks for Foles, not the other way around.

So you really think Chip's plan all along was to trade for Sam Bradford ? I don't know how anyone can believe that. Even if you don't think he's done everything possible to trade up for Mariota (which he has), why would we plan on taking on Bradford's $16 mil cap hold, while at the same time trying to upgrade our secondary with Maxwell and McCourty, trying to re-sign Maclin and sign Gore? Making those moves makes sense when your QB is on a rookie deal.

Per Adam Schefter, Demarco Murray flying to Philly tomorrow. All of a sudden, it doesn't seem as bad anymore.

If getting Bradford helps get Murray where if no Bradford no Murray, then it's not the worst trade in the world. Foles + 2nd rounder + 4th rounder for Bradford + Murray + 5th rounder is definitely great value. No Murray though and Chip Kelly looks like he got punked Hinkie style.

I'd rather draft a RB than sign Murray.
