Was wondering if the fishsticks would make a reappearance.

If Al is out we need to start Biyombo with Marvin. The Cody/Biz pairing hasn't been effective this year.

Kinda doubt we see Cody either.

People may get to see more of MKG at PF due to the injuries.

MKG on Gasol. Goody.

This is a terrible game to be missing Cody. Sucks that he was out when we face two of the most dynamic and mobile PFs in the league (Gay and Gasol).

This is really not a good matchup for MKG to play big. Now he might could battle with Taj who gets by with athletic ability and hustle some.

I don't have a problem with putting MKG on Mirotic when he's at the four. No way Mirotic can stay in front of MKG. Although, MKG did completely shut down Dunleavy in the last game (0-3 in 20 minutes with two turnovers, including a couple of airballs).

Good point about Mirotic, that's a favorable matchup for MKG and he's been getting borderline starters minutes.

I don't think Gibson is playing this game.

Per Bonnell: "The Hornets will enter Friday’s home game against the Chicago Bulls without either of their starting big men – Jefferson and power forward Cody Zeller. Zeller will miss a second straight game with a right shoulder sprain.

Clifford said the short-term plan will be to start Bismack Biyombo at center and Marvin Williams at power forward. Jason Maxiell will back up Biyombo at center. The alternatives behind Williams at power forward are rookie Noah Vonleh or play small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist somewhat out of position, should the Bulls go to a small frontcourt."

Gibson is out so they are definitely going to go small when they get into their bench. Can definitely see Max getting in foul trouble trying to guard Noah and Gasol all game.

Is Butler playing for Chicago? I read he was traveling with the team and getting closer to a return a couple days ago.

The Bulls without Rose/Butler/Gibson is roughly as much of a crap shoot as we are without Cody/Al. Only difference being their strength is in the interior and ours is in the back court. I hope we can steal this one and then get Zeller back next game. We've got a rough stretch coming up but so does Miami, it's easy to get demoralized after the Sacto game (still steaming over the first six MKG-less minutes of the 4th) but we're not out of it by any stretch.

Smart, sounds like Clifford is playing it correctly. The silver lining here is that MKG should be playing 35 minutes plus with both Cody and Al out. It doesn't hurt to have your best player on the court more, which is something Clifford is thankfully beginning to understand.

Play Maxiel 48 minutes!!! Let Biz and Marvin split the other 48. Problem solved.

Do the numbers back that up? My eyeballs prefer the opposite, easily.

I'm a little skeptical of that too, but I do think Marvin can generate offense for himself a little more easily than Cody, which is necessary with Biz on the floor.

Zeller and Biyombo are great together in my opinion. Biyombo played the best basketball of his career with Jefferson out starting alongside Zeller.

I think Zeller but up solid numbers with Biz. Looks like he scored just above his average for the season and shot well. If we get to the point where Al is not back and Cody is I hope Cody stays aggressive.
