Even if he is desperate to make the playoffs... are Warren and Goodwin really worse than Green or Thornton?

At this point it's like, is there something Hornacek and the coaching staff aren't telling us about TJ? Is he just horrid in practice or something? Because even from just watching him on the court in limited minutes, it looks like he is totally capable at getting a shot at that starting job, or at least a dramatic increase in minutes. Bewildering.

Guys why is that guy calling him something like Rashawn (or maybe something else?) Warren in the first 2 clips. Is that his nickname? http://on.nba.com/1NNhgkV

Rush Hour, apparently because he can negotiate traffic (in the lane). One that the commentary team came up with, overusing it in the hope that it sticks. I think it's pretty lame, personally.

"I knew he was going to cut," Bledsoe said. "I seen him the whole time he was going to cut because he's probably the only one that's not going to stay out there on the perimeter and just sit there and jack threes all night. He did a great job tonight."

Bledsoe talked about Warren's threat to cut to the basket makes the defense play that much harder.

"It definitely helps," he said. "It opened up shots for other people because now everybody is going to look at the game and say TJ like to cut here, he kept going and got shots for everybody else."

Obviously, Bledsoe wants Warren on the court like us. Hopefully, he will play at least 20 minutes per game until the end of the season.

I didn't get to watch the game, but in the highlights Bledsoe looked like a kid in a candy store playing with Warren, he was all smiles. TJ is exactly the type of player you need to play with Eric. We all know Bledsoe's main strength is driving to rim and how often he has to hurl wild passes out to the perimeter when he can't get a good look. None of the other players on the team cut to the hoop when he is making a play in the paint. TJ is the **** Mr. Miyagi of cutting at the right time and place. This should lead to more assists and less turnovers for Bledsoe once they really get a feel for each other on the court. This is also why TJ is a good rebounder, he is always under the hoop by the time a shot is taken, whether it was his shot or not.

Im probably getting too excited from one game of it, but I think Warren and Bledsoe's playing styles compliment one another's very well. We could see something special manifest over the last few weeks of the season.

If Brandon Knight improves his shot selection ( too many long 2p shots), Bledsoe,Knight and Warren would be a very good offensive backcourt to have for the next few years on our starting five.

I loved Bledsoe saying that. He's calling out idiots like Green, Marcus, Tucker and Kieff who all stand outside staring at Bledsoe to do something.

This is so ****' amazing.
Finally someone said that in the media.

TJ made Bledsoe's life so easy in this game. I dont know why we just stand there waiting for something to happen.
We dont have Nash anymore, guys. Create some passing lanes for our PG's, please?

It comes down to coaching. Either the coaches are telling them to stand there, or they are telling them to move and the players are blatantly refusing. Either way it looks bad.

Good read here...
http://www.nba.com/suns/news/pj-tj-case ... sonalities

“To have to go up against P.J. every day in practice…P.J. takes pride in his defense and not letting guys try to score, even in practice,” said Suns Head Coach Jeff Hornacek. “It forces T.J. to fight through some of that stuff and get fouled. In practice you’re not calling fouls like you do in games, so he learns to get bumped and hit. It’s good for a young player to go against a guy like that.”

Doesn't Hornacek know that practice hold no value, only in-game experience matters. Silly Coach, he should be fired.

I personally would love to see Warren start, especially at this point in the season, but I do like that these guys have to earn it, and I'm guessing it is mostly a challenge to improve on some things, particularly 3 pt shooting. I don't mind the gradual approach, because by the time Len started getting time, he looked good, and then when he started was solid. He was pretty solid before he started, but I still trust Hornacek more than arm chair coaches.

Warren is the guy I have the highest hopes for though. I don't think him and Goodwin together work really well yet though since neither is a great floor stretcher. Warren would be better with Knight at the 2. Goodwin probably with Tucker at the 3.

I hope that next season we'll draw up some plays that free up Warren cutting to the basket. I've very impressed by how crafty he is in the paint.
