Re: SVG Hints At Interest In Draymond Green
I went to Dumars' house last Sunday (I know his daughter). He was a big fan of Green. He has his jersey a few times around the house. Also saw other jerseys. It's interesting to see who he was a fan of.
Defense wins championships

Barring anything unforeseen, he'll get whatever max the Pistons have to pay to keep him. It will be more than $15M.
Very Young 20/20 guys are extremely hard to come by. You pay Max for Drum no matter what.

I would not be surprised to see the top RFA players either take the QO or a 2 year deal with PO in year 2 so they can hit FA unrestricted when the cap jumps.

the crux of the biscuit is the apostrophe

Green..a 6-7 PF scoring about 12 ppg.. is a "Swiss Army knife" but not a prototype PF and a team in need of a real scorer likely spends it's money elsewhere. Even were the Pistons to throw Max ($15 mill or so) at Dray...GSW can drag that out a few days.. whether they match or not. That lag can wreck plan B. That's why teams are more inclined to go for a UFA than an RFA. I reckon the Pistons take a look but probably spend elsewhere.
Its only 3 or 4 days delay, I don't think it will have that big an impact if we're looking at secondary targets as our plan B. This was a much bigger concern under the last CBA.
With that said, I don't want to give Green the max regardless, and that's about what it would take to even have a chance, so I would prefer if we passed.

It's 3 days
Is it possible a double S&T could work? Monroe for Green?
GSW gets a legit C that isn't injury prone
We get the intangibles we seriously lack
