Figuring I should move on to writing columns about separate games as we're approaching the playoffs. Main topics included...
- The Mo and Kemba Pairing;
- Biz's Re-Jumpability, two amazing defensive plays from last night
- Hendo losing McLemore on screens

Re: Lamar's Blog: The Sacramento Game
Good stuff on how going under screens killed us on McLemore. We clearly did not respect his shot enough and it ended up biting us in the butt. I wonder if that was a calculated decision because we were more worried about Gay getting into the lane or if Cliff just didn't respect or appreciate that McLemore was going to be able to hit open shots from off ball screens.
Nice writeup Lamar.
ETA: Surprised not to see you mention how Cousins went off on Biz after Al did a relatively good job keeping him in check. Boogie looked very comfortable going inside against Biz, which I guess makes sense since he has 2 inches and like 40 pounds on Biz. This is probably one of the first times I've had to question whether Biz has the size to keep guys like Marc Gasol and Boogie in check.

Fantastic
Now that Al is out, what do you think about the possibility of a Kemba, Mo, MKG, Marvin, Biz, lineup? I would still rather have Zeller down the stretch than Marvin, but if Clifford chooses to go with Marv to close games do you think it could work reasonably well with Biz instead of Al?

Fair point. Definitely could have mentioned it.

I would prefer Cody as well, but Marv could help that line-up, yeah. He's been fairly precise with his fourth quarter shooting.
at the end of the day, I'm alright with it since it doesn't have him paired with Al. The only problem it might pose is if we face a team that also plays a stretch-4 or a small ball 4 and meanwhile also has competent offensive players 1 through 4. Then we're stuck with two smalls, the rather slow Marvin and MKG trying to lock up the best offensive player.
I rather have Marv fronting a behemoth four than out on the court in this type of scenario.

Re: Lamar's Blog: The Sacramento Game
I felt like Cousins going off on Biz had more to do with Cousins being a fantastic player going on one of those runs where he wasnt going to stopped than Biz's defense. Biz's man defense against skilled post players certainly isnt nearly as good as his help D, but in this instance i thought he was playing Cousins fine and he was just making plays. No one in the league can consistently guard a guy like Cousins in single coverage.

Re: Lamar's Blog: The Sacramento Game
May be true, but Cousins also likes to bang, and his 40 pound and two inch advantage is not insignificant.
