And Okafor cmon son you gotta do better defending that.

He has 2 fouls and outside of him Duke is 4-14 from the field for 9 points with 7 turnovers. This is what we meant when we said sometimes he can't afford to play defense 100% all the time until he improves.

Shaq said it yesterday but priority number one for players leading the team offensively is to stay in the game.

I'm convinced 95% of this forum has never played any kind of organized basketball because y'all literally don't know WTF you're talking about.

No I definitely know he's playing within his limitations as far as fouls goes but on that particular play Colson right in front of him & he could've played with just better effort there. Using his height would've done him wonders there.

But what Shaq said does make sense.

But come on he could be Bill Russell and he'd still be in a bad position in that horrendous zone coach K has them in.. coach K is a man to man coach and he should stick to that because he ain't no Neil Mccarthy.

His pinned between two guys.. do you guys actually know WTF you're watching? That zone is atrocious.. coach K is putting him in the worst position possible.. in the middle of a guy behind him on the baseline and guy in front of him on the free throw line. And he's got them in a zone because he's guards have been getting beat off the dribble every single time.

Yeah I'm ignoring the talk about his defense now. It's like the concept of a zone is lost on most of the thread (someone told me they were in a zone to hide Okafor once). If Towns was in the game with these guys attacking him inside so often he'd have 4 fouls by now and Duke would have 7 points on the board (because outside of Okafor they look terrible on that end).

Also these refs must've been paid off if that's a foul.

I can't emphasize enough how bad Russell's teammates are.

And Connaughton was right behind him.. why in gods name would you put a player of his size in a position where he's stuck in between two guys and has to choose?

Just switched to the Ohio State/Michigan game & good lord De'Angelo is one of the laziest players I've seen on defense in college ball this year

My man just says fu*k that & switches on to any player that doesn't have the ball.

Every game I've seen him play he just hasn't impressed me but his highlights are dope. I keep missing his good games it seems.

Virginia got upset by North Carolina. Would be a bummer if Duke loses to Notre Dame.

Stop making excuses for Okafor, Coach K is vetted. Okafor isn't.

That zone they were in.. there were in two of them.. was just really bad basketball strategy and Coach K has been doing it all year. His guards and Winslow can't guard anybody.. even in the press the ND ball handlers were just breezing by the Duke defenders and you've got people expecting Okafor to erase that onslaught on the basket just like they expected Tyson Chandler to erase shots the 3 years he was here when the perimeter defense was atrocious. It just doesn't work like that in basketball.

That might've been the worst half Duke had all year. Their guards need to lose their scholarships immediately.

First off they let Notre Dame get a 10 point lead before they stopped freezing out Okafor, then they didn't run the floor with the ND guards, then they decided to not even attempt to get around the PNR. Plus Justice Winslow...

And like I said he wasn't in the best position to contest that shot because he was trying to guard two guys at once.

Seriously.. just listen to what I'm saying and you'll see what I'm saying if Coach K goes into that zone again.
