Yeah but just blindly wanting everyone to contest a shot isn't right. You should want to see sound defense and when someone is in no mans land its 99.99999% one of his teammate's faults. I'm happy he didn't contest and leave his ability to stay on the floor in the hands of refs that have been quick with the whistle all day.

That's Stef Curry's resume in College and he was drafted 7th.

Russell maybe nice, but he has to be at least Huskies Ray Allen like, If not I'm passing on him.

Hey dumbass you linked us to a wiki page about the name Stephen and it's origin. And you know Curry went to Davidson right? If Russell went to Davidson he'd be dropping 30 a night.

Nah I hear what you & Ibrah saying on that, I just thought in that situation he had a clear shot of contesting the shot I wanted to see at least effort. But I just looked at it on the DVR Ibrah was right it wouldn't have made sense him jumping up then catching a no man's land foul.

His pinned between two guys.. do you guys actually know WTF you're watching? That zone is atrocious.. coach K is putting him in the worst position possible.. in the middle of a guy behind him on the baseline and guy in front of him on the free throw line. And he's got them in a zone because he's guards have been getting beat off the dribble every single time.

Yeah I'm ignoring the talk about his defense now. It's like the concept of a zone is lost on most of the thread (someone told me they were in a zone to hide Okafor once). If Towns was in the game with these guys attacking him inside so often he'd have 4 fouls by now and Duke would have 7 points on the board (because outside of Okafor they look terrible on that end).

Also these refs must've been paid off if that's a foul.

That zone they were in.. there were in two of them.. was just really bad basketball strategy and Coach K has been doing it all year. His guards and Winslow can't guard anybody.. even in the press the ND ball handlers were just breezing by the Duke defenders and you've got people expecting Okafor to erase that onslaught on the basket just like they expected Tyson Chandler to erase shots the 3 years he was here when the perimeter defense was atrocious. It just doesn't work like that in basketball.

They've been running the same stupid zones all year and it hasn't worked yet. I get that Tyus, Matt, and Quinn can't guard anyone but playing a SU 2-1-2 zone when you have Okafor in the middle is (Please Use More Appropriate Word). Unless you have an otherworldly defensive C or smart defensive guards it won't work.

Steph was drafted 7th and he's the best player from that draft (if anyone could go back in time he's the first pick). Its like saying you won't draft a guard that compared to Kobe and Jordan because they were drafted 13th and 3rd.

in okafor's defense... this is his first b2b ... something college players don't usually experience until tourney time... which is why you see a lot of upsets during conference tournies... duke has a #1 seed locked up so losing here so ok4 can rest up wouldn't be the worst thing in the world....

that said... this isn't anything new... duke uses zone sometimes at certain points in the season with varying success... notre dame has great guard play and they just attack the paint at will... against any team... this is exactly how okafor has looked in those other games against them... zone or no zone... the only difference is that duke isn't bringing it on the other end...

this is who he is... stop making excuses for him... he's horrible on D...

All charge calls are flops now. Its 2015.

The refs do seem to have been paid off though. Duke already in the 1 + 1.

I think I've seen him miss like 2 bunnies all year. And I've never seen a player have so many shots roll out of the rim.
