Best team you've seen?
Inspired by this thread on RC: http://www.redcafe.net/threads/the-best ... ng.402412/
For me it's a close one between Guardiola's Barcelona and 2012-13 Bayern under Heynckes. France in 1998-2000 were great, but more defensive than those 2 teams.

Re: Best team you've seen?
They were long before my time, but my uncle that got me into football did so with many tapes of the West German team from the early 70s. That's why I'm such a massive fan of Netzer the many midfielders who've followed him in that style. It astounds me that they were see creative and tactically clever more than 40 years ago. Watching them and the dutch side of the same era makes it hard for current teams to impress me as much because I can't help but feel that in such a long time we should've made so much more progress than we actually have, though like many things the 80s are to blame here.
For teams that were current during my life it's gotta be between pep's Barca at their peak, Bayern in Heynkes' final season, the milan sides of the early 90s, or juve of the mid 90s. I want to put the galactico's on there just because i still sometimes can't believe how amazing Phenomeno still was, even after he got really fat, but they just never made the most of the talent they had like those other clubs did, so I can't. Though I'll always love catching re-plays of the Ajax and Dortmund sides who made such waves in the CL back in the 90s. Give me a time machine so I can watch Sammer and Netzer play together and I won't need anything more from this sport.
If just picking a single season, it's hard for me not to pick Heynkes' bayern, just because I still remember around the 3 or 4 game of the seasons when I realized that they were going to win a treble. They were a machine that did not stop. Only Dortmund even made it a contest against them that season. Now it came after two seasons were they faltered in the back half of the season, so the whole heynkes era wasn't up there. But for that one season they were as dominant as a team can possibly be.

Re: Best team you've seen?
At some point Barça had almost the best player in every position or a Top 3. Then Puyol broke his knee, Piqué lost attention in football, Abidal cancer, Villa knee, Pedro lost his fluke. Alves, Xavi and Iniesta getting older. So only Messi carring the team. This year seems he has more help especially at the offense the best I've ever seen.

2011 Barca, 2012 Madrid and 2013 Bayern.
Thought 2015 Chelsea would be up there but evidently not.

Clubs - this is very difficult, for recent memory I'm going to give Bayern Munich '12-13 over the Barca team that won it all... Both teams were dominant in different styles.... I
National - Got to go with Brazil led by Ronaldo, those guys put up goals and destroyed everyone. I know there were vast countries with exceptional talent on their selection squads but Brazil got the results...

Re: Best team you've seen?
2002 Brazil were overrated.
Great on paper, but they played very defensive Scolari-football. They were lucky that Seaman and Kahn made some horrible mistakes and IIRC Turkey and Belgium played them close in the Knock out stages as well.

Re: Best team you've seen?
i've been watching soccer since the mid 90s and the best team is impossible to say
the most overachieving team i've ever seen was 2009-10 internazionale
least stacked team to ever complete a treble
shame the ownership was even cheaper than SSOL phoenix suns sarver
