Winnable game. Mirotic needs to come through again. Ibaka has trouble with him on the perimeter.

And that's putting it mildly. Westbrook has to have revenge in his heart. That does not bode well for us.
After Rose broke both his knees, I gave up on the hope that we'd make it to the NBA Finals again. It will probably be decades before we see another championship. Hello Treadmill, here we come.

3/15

Be interesting to see how the team responds after needing OT vs. the Sixers for their only win in the last 5 games, then losing to Charlotte. Will the unraveling continue? I hope not because this team is dangerously close to losing HCA for any playoff series.. and let's just face reality, they aren't winning four playoff series without HCA. Even if they do get "healthy" is it going to be enough? Has a team ever won anything who's starters have barely played together all season? (less than 330 minutes all season and not much hope of playing many more season end).

A lot of people in this city seem to think the Bulls can just magically all be healthy for the playoffs and play like a team that has played even half, hell even a quarter of a season together. We aren't the Spurs who have a lifetime together and can jsut pick up where they left off. Other than Noah (and Kirk), NOBODY on this team has played much with Derrick Rose. Not Jimmy, not Pau, not MDJ, not Brooks, Niko, Snell.

Asking Thibs to get anywhere in the playoffs under those circumstances is really asking for a freaking miracle.

Thibs knows it.. he said yesterday that "If your house is not in order by now, you're in trouble". Well, he's trying to say we are probably in trouble cause our house is far, far, far from in order. He knows the score and he knows he's likely coaching his last days here.

I think the effort excuse has been overly blamed this year for the team's performance, there are a lot of real factors for why they haven't been as good as expected, but to the extent that it does exist, the FO can look at themselves in the mirror to blame for part of it, as they have done a great job undermining this coach, which no doubt is easily observable by the players. And if the FO does not respect or back Thibs, and lets these rumors circulate that he will be gone in the summer, then why should the players keep going all out for him either.

Bad news. Somebody told Westbrook it is time to trust his teamates more...and he believed it (allegedly).

Let's win this for Anthony Davis. Chicago looks out for one of their own.

Thibs also has a share of the blame. This group needs a divorce.

They will probably go the usual opposite route and get a 'player's coach' to follow Thibs.

But I don't know if this team has the raw talent to win with an easy going structure.

Like the Spurs, they need to be a superior system and execution team to beat the superior mega talent squads. Will a nice guy coach get that out of them. I'm skeptical.

Well when are you not skeptical? j/k

Seriously though, who's to say that the player's coach wouldn't install a system into play?

Obviously you don't want Thibs to go anywhere, but I don't think it's a forgone conclusion that we end up with some push over/chump.

The Myth of "turning it on in the playoffs" is just a myth. It can't be done. 95% of championship teams come from seeds 1-3. If you're not playing well in late March, you're not winning anything in June.
