Yeah, it's really really bad. For all the flak Kirk gets here, and most of it is deserved, Joakim Noah usually gets off scot free with his scoring because he is far more liked as the 'heart of the team'.

But actually for being a center who shoots primarily shots right around the rim, his TS% is really more shocking than Kirk. It's just easier for people to get riled up about a missed jumper clanking off the rim, than a missed bunny.

The real problems begin though, as you suggested, when we start putting multiple guys like this on the court, and/or in addition to other low volume producers, even if they are efficient, like Mike and Snell/Doug for most of the year till lately.

Noah's decline is nothing short of horrific. Dropped from .531 TS% to .478. He can't finish at the rim unless absolutely open. No list whatsoever. At some point it looked like he was getting better, but then he fell back these past few weeks and he was out with knee soreness. I doubt he can magically pick it up for the playoffs at this point.

He's turning into Perkins a lot faster than I thought possible. Could be a vet min guy in 2016.

Noah has become a Perkins like center. Not how bad Perk is this year, but rather post-Boston when he was just slowly descending in value. A total deficit on one end, while diminished defensively.

For that style center to work, you want a mega scorer like Durant or Lebron leading your attack. We don't have that, we just have 1st option by committee between Jimmy, Gasol, and Rose. Not enough firepower to offset all our weak and parasitic links offensively.

I just hope Noah isnt resigned here. And if he is he needs to be resigned at less value than currently Taj's or Gasol's contract are, probably on Mirotic's lvl contract. He is just not worth that money anymore, specially if he ask some max money with new CBA. Surgery took alot of his game and with constructed team for future I dont see how he is fitting with his game on offense. Specially if he keep regressing. This team is currently made for having great shot blocker and athletic rim protector, elite rebounder who will post up and dunk everything under the rim. Like Whiteside for example or Gobert.

If we need to throw serious money, throw it there, just not on Noah. Somehow I think he could become Kirk if Thibs continue to coach this team.

In 2016 when Noah's deal is done you're going to see a huge increase in the cap. Bulls will have near max space to get a FA center to replace Noah.
