It's called maximizing resources. Yes, of course they can have Towns in a minimal role to start but that isn't maximizing resources IF the plan is to try to win in Anthony's prime...which is only another year or two.

Do we want to have a RGM Knicks Board Yahoo Tournament Pool?

I can start one and we can all join and see who's the best and who sucks?

Here's the link to the pool I created.

a minimal role starting off on offense doesn't mean a minimal role on defense.

It means half a role.

no. okafor's otherworldly post skills are his main draw. they are what make him special. they are not something we can expect another player to aspire to.

if you're asking if KAT can have a serviceable pro post game, i think he can. the eternal question in the Okafort vs. Towns debate is which combination of attributes is more valuable. that's in the eye of the beholder... knicks FO.

He traded Tyson. Why would he draft WCS?

gonna have to second this. we're talking about a hypothetical with virtually no chance of taking place.

he would trade down before that.

no spoilers: has anyone seen the movie draft day? kevin costner? i thought it was pretty good, in a cheesy kind of way.

Then please give us some ideas as to what you mean by "really good." Enumerate a couple good scenarios that would please you.

Cousins and thier first (fith overall) for our number one Calderon and 2018 first.

Draft WCS

no way the kings give up their first rounder this year. i'd do that in a heartbeat. i don't see what the kings get out of it though. if they really want to trade big cuz, they can get a haul.

funny. i see it on the defensive end and he's got solid court vision. body type. interesting.

jeffries was point forward/center at indiana though. offensively, people thought he could run an offense! he did a decent job in college. washington realized he wasn't really that guy in the pros. to compare him to WCS offensively would be a huge discredit to what jeffries was doing in the big ten.

Well, if Okafor really does become Eddy Curry part deux, he won't just have half a roll...he'll have a bunch of 'em.

Its not like towns would have to beat out Ewing and Duncan here. We may bring him along slowly but it wouldn't be long until he has a role

Because he's not a b****-ass, overpaid, oft-injured, 32 year old?

He projects to be a similar player, skillwise. Jackson won't take a guy with limited offensive potential over Okafor or Towns.

I would take 5-6 players before WCS....

KAT
Okafor
Mudiay
Russell
Johnson
Myles Turner. I think Turner is just as good defensively but has more offensive upside than WCS.

Okafor is playing how many minutes and what role again with Duke? Again, you are arguing with the wrong person. I'm telling what the take I'm reading is on Towns. Assuming the scouts are right...and well...they are getting paid for it right?...the feel is Towns is further away from whatever it is he's going to end up being than Okafor.
