Yeah, I just don't care what happens the rest of the season here.I assume that we'll lose a couple we probably shouldnt and will win a few we shouldnt. Probably juat enough to make the draft odds worse. I'll be really excited for the draft though once it comes around because there's no chance of us losing our pick :) !
Anyways, it is March Madness time, the NFL draft coming up, and NBA Playoffs (Dat Western Conference). I think I'll be fine without Detroit Basketball :P

And I was a fan during the Teal Error!

We have obvious needs so I'm not gonna bang on about them, I'm just happy SVG has the cap space available to pursue players he chooses.

High praise to some of the players, SVG & his staff and Gores. Finally we're moving in the right direction

We missed the playoffs twice in the Teal era. We had a 54 win season in the teal era. We had one of the best and most exciting young stars in the league during most of the teal era. I know the teal era has this sort of bad "mystique" about it, but it really wasn't that bad and it was a blessed picnic compared to now.

It gets a bad wrap in historical hindsight because it was sandwiched in between the Bad Boys and Going to Work eras, and because everyone hated the color teal. Heck, the couple of years after contention and before the teal era were a lot worse than the actual teal era, too, and the WORST teal-era year marked a higher win total than we've had any of the last 5 years.

You should really post more. Love reading your posts, Snake.

Also, I completely agree. I'd love to have a couple players like Hill and Stackhouse- even if we weren't a serious contender, at least they could put on a heck of a show. Now, this team doesn't have a single player that you could consider a superstar, and don't hold your breath on Detroit finding one in the draft of free agency. Unless SVG kidnaps LeBron's kids and forces him to sign in Detroit.

Yeah, I agree that the Teal era was far from the worst. Hill was a marvel before his injuries. I never lose interest as I know I'll tire of the off season soon enough. There's always something worth watching even when the team isn't winning much. Planning for the future you know.

I think the color of the jerseys in the Teal Era actually makes it seem worse than it was.

Like it's got that stigma to it. Wonder what this era will be known as?
