As a Wolves fan I can't see why anyone would take Gorgui over Bazz.

Tier 1
Giannis - Great potential, length, and position of need.
Gobert - Great defensive center, impacts both sides of the ball.

Tier 2
Oladipo - Has played pretty well but doesn't strike me as a star. Solid 2G though.
Noel - Skys the limit for his potential, essentially a rookie and has shown an all around impact.
McLemore - Position of need, has really excelled this year aside from a bad start to 2015. Karl looks to be helping, kid can shoot.
Schroder - Toss up between him and McLemore. This kid is going to be really really good. I like him a lot, being a pg hurt a bit.

Tier 3
Len - Solid center progressing well this year
Adams - Same as Len
MCW - Think he can be a good swiss army knife. Brings a bit of everything to the table.
Plumlee - Was really sold on him around Dec -Jan but he has fallen off last few weeks. We will see how he plays.
Dieng - Defensive machine and excelled in the starting role. has a place in this league
Shabazz - Hard to judge but guy can score.
Zeller - Playing decent this year but not special. Good career 3rd big.

KCP - Hasn't made enough of an impact for me to say anything. under 40% shooting and in the games I've watched out never been to impressed.

Posts like this are not what we are looking for and add nothing meaningful to discussion.

I went with Adams for 7th. It was between him and Schroder for me. He's a legit C and there are far less of those than PGs, so he got my vote.

It was a single deal I believe

MCW netted the Sixer's the Lakers #1 so of course it says something about his trade value.

That pick is no sure thing. The lakers can easily retool this offseason trade their pick and randle for a star, sign another star and be poised to compete for 6-11 in the west. That pick could be anywhere from 10-20. Even then most considered it an overpay.

Anywhere from 10 - 20? Sure. It could also be the #1 pick in 2017. If you are expecting the Lakers to be a top 10 in the league next year, I hope for your sake you don't gamble.

Sums up my feelings pretty much perfectly.

Look at the history of the Lakers, they have nearly been in half the NBA finals. I applaud you for hoping they stay bad but I just can't imagine that. I could easily see them trading their pick for Lawson plus denver pick, convincing Love to sign, flipping randle and the Denver pick for another solid player to fill in at 2g or center.

Jordan hill
Kevin Love
Kobe
young
lawson

That team if healthy is easily fighting for a playoff spot. Again I'm one of the fans who would love nothing more than watching the Lakers be bad for an extended period of time but I don't think that's really gonna happen. They have a track record that proves otherwise.

No pick is a sure thing. Don't get what this makes this one unique. Also, its a different situation than the past. Kobe is about done, taking up nearly half their cap and doesn't appeal to many FAs. Their coach is suspect. And I'm guessing most players will wait for a major pay day in 2016. They also play in an extremely tough conference and might have not have a pick to add to next year's team.

Simply put, past success is not much of indicator of future success. Boston has had long stretches of being horrible despite their legacy.

Still curious about this. I'm a little surprised no one is willing to defend their vote of Dieng.

But I'll share some of my thoughts:

Lowest ceiling of the bigs
Oldest
Most limited offensive game

But clearly some of you disagree and I would like to hear what I might be missing on him.

I didn't vote for him and agree on the first two, but he isn't the most limited offensive bigs.

Again as someone who has watched both Bazz and Dieng I can't imagine why anyone would take Dieng over Bazz.

Went with Adams next over Shabazz.

Shabazz is a sneaky good scorer who I feel will be a 12 year vet. Adams is a good defensive big who will also be a 12 year scorer. The Adams variety is harder to come by so I went Adams.

Seller vs Dieng is a good one. The slight edge goes to Gourgi however I feel like Cody is a little underrated for his impact collectively, he should be 9th.

I wonder why people consider 2013 draft as one of the weakest in years, it looks good to me.

People tend to measure draft strength based on how many potential superstars declared. And with Bennett going 1st , that´s a big flaw for the whole draft because his selection is mostly the first that comes to mind. But I agree with you , I really like this draft and I´m happy for Schröder that he learned to fit in the hawks rotation.
