I would trade Lance for any player or combination of players with the same salary. Seriously, somebody try to find 9 mil of players that I would not prefer in a deal for Lance.

What has impressed me lately is his ability to attack the basket and pick up fouls. He's been more decisive on his drives lately and done a good job picking up fouls. I'm starting to envision Lance and MKG as guys that can fight their way to the rim and that's at least something they do well that we can use in our offense.

If his third year was a player option instead of a team option he would have one of the worst contracts in the league. Think God he doesnt.

I'd rather have either of those off the bench than Stephenson.

I think Smith isn't even counting a million against Houstons cap right now anyway.

I'd bench Josh or give him Max's minutes and let Boris have all of Marvin's minutes.

I would much rather have Marvin. Its not even a debate. Marvin is a solid role player. He is overpaid, thanks to Cho, but he is still good for his role. He can shoot, he doesn't clog the paint, he keeps the ball moving and when matched up vs the right players is actually a solid defender.

We can sign another player for dirt cheap. I'd be completely willing to let Lance take the offseason and try to work towards fulfilling some of his potential. He doesn't appear to be a distraction- he's just struggling and we all know that he's better than this.

Its not even the shooting slump that bothers me about Lance, its his style of play. He's so isocentric. He over-dribbles. He is a ball-stopper. Even last night when he was scoring in the 2nd half, none of it was in the flow of the offense. All of it was Lance going 1 vs 5. That is a seriously low percentage way to play basketball. None that is going to change next year with an improved shot. He isn't going to change who he is as a player.

  Fats you are exactly right and that's why he probably will be gone next season.
Its too bad he cannot adapt and neither can the team adapt to him.
The potential is still there. :uhoh:

Lance played 10 minutes last night vs the Clippers and made absolutely zero positive impact. He should not be playing. The fact that Clifford keeps trying to play him is starting to make me angry.

well you see the problem is,

1. we have a **** ton of money involved with him
2. he is 23 years old, way too early to throw in the towel on him
3. henderson is not much better
4. lance has had a bad year because the rest of this team blows as well

I think he has been helpful the past couple games, but I agree that this was a terrible game for him.

I do understand your take about him just dominating the ball though, and I agree that's what he's doing.

Diaw would be better than Marv. Diaw is a more skilled version of McBob, he just didn't want to be a go to man.

Diaw has been off this season. Still one of my fav guys but I doubt he'd have any worthwhile production on this team.

^Sorry this has nothing to do with Lance.

I would have traded Lance for MCW cause I think we can teach him how to shot in time like how patience we were in teaching Kidd-Gilchrist. Then we will have two Michaels on the same team.

I don't like MCW's game at all, but there was no way he was attainable at a reasonable price.

I think having players with the name Michael is something our owner can appreciate.
