Jackson with 20 assist, I'm so glad we traded that scrub! Oh wait, that wasn't us, maybe some of our resident trolls can troll the OKC board and play the hindsight game. :roll:

Why would the Thunder care about what Jackson is doing now? Look at what Kanter has done since he has been on the Thunder. He is a 22 year old, 6'11" center with major upside. I would much rather have Kanter than Jackson. He changes that entire team. He is the inside presence that the Thunder needed to truly become a contender. I think Jackson is really good but he is not needed when you already have Westbrook.

I guess trading good assets that could've snatched you a good big man for a RFA combo guard in a league where PGs are a dime a dozen makes sense in some universe... :noway:

I think a few on here were in favor of Kanter, but I thought the issue others had with him was his lack of defense, and the stats supported this. Plus many felt that it would hurt Len's advancements, for he would most likely be benched for Kanter, right?

I agree for the most part. I wasn't thinking about trading for him either but had I known how cheap he was I would've gone after him hard. If a talented big man is up for grabs, you take him. I think it is much more reasonable to have two Cs on the team and then figure it out rather than putting 2 or even 3 PGs on the team and then try to figure it out. And I think Len and Kanter could complement each other well.

Kanter works in OKC because he has a great defender Ibaka playing next to him.

Imagine a Keef and Kanter front court defensively....

And Kanter is NOT a power forward..

I think people expecting us to contend this fast have to control their expectations. A bigger great SG would be nice, but we have a great shooter and good ball handler in Knight. If we need anything, especially if we lose Wright in the offseason, is another center, mostly due to Len being injury prone. A PF would be good too, but that is assuming the FO is not sold on Kieff, and I'm not so sure that is the case.

I am pretty surprised at how low people on this board are on Kieff. I do understand that the twins together seem out of control at times and that it might not be a good situation because they may feel a bit entitled, but even Marcus has shown some really good games at times.

Am I arguing that the twins are key pieces to lead us to a championship? No, Marcus is a bench player long term at best, and Kieff is good, and is probably our most reliable player and is clutch at the end of games (people don't seem to recognize this) but I am not entirely sure the brother dynamic is good for a championship team in the long run unless they know their roles and can buy into being total team players who don't look out mostly for each other, which seems like an obvious problem to me.

The problem may be that one or both may be difficult to trade, because I don't know if teams would want to trade for one and break them up, and if they did, it would be Kieff.

Kanter looks good now, but you have to realize part of the reason of that is because Westbrook demands SO much attention that his game is much easier than it is in most systems. ALL players will look much better when playing with a top 5 guy if they understand their role with them.

I'm with you. Kanter is an improving jump shooter as well so we could have done major work with both him and Len together.

Dragic is playing very well for Miami. 20 & 10 in a win vs Cleveland the other night and then 20 & 11 in a win vs Portland tonight.

I didn't catch the Cavs game but watched some of the Blazers and honestly he's playing the same way he played during the All NBA 3rd team season. Looks a lot more engaged and looks like he's having more fun as well.

Good for him.

I like Knight more than Jackson simply because he has better size to match up against SGs.
