Diego Simeone is set to sign a contract extension with Atlético Madrid.
His long-term future has been uncertain as his current deal has little over a year to run, but his sister and representative, Natalia, indicated to Spanish state TV that the Argentine was close to agreeing new terms.
"Surrounding the renewal of Simeone at the club, there will be good news in the next few days," she said on Tuesday, according to AS.
Simeone's run of success since taking over at Atleti in 2011 has been unprecedented, winning the Europa League, Copa del Rey and La Liga, as well as reaching the Champions League Final in 2014.
