I personally want to add I.Caanan or I. Thomas though.
Woof. Isaiah Thomas is a black hole of ineptitude. Never mind the fact he has a ridiculous deal that Danny Ainge loves for god only knows why.
Terrence Ross is an interesting name, though. I just don't know how we'd land him. Basically all we can trade is Taj and Masai Ujiri has made it pretty clear they'd like to shed cap room for 2016.
Raptors dont have any bigs or depth on frontcourt. They could get Taj for 2 years on 7 million deal. With new cap room that is bargain for bigs in their prime. They have Amir Johnson till end of season, I dont think he will get extension. Hansbrough, Valenciunas. Valenciunas is still project, and Hansbrough is not starter. That wont cut it if they want to go deep in playoff. Taj comes in handy. And it's not Ross they are that high on Ross so they wont deal him for big.
In addition to Valanciunas, the Raptors have Nogueria who they are extremely high on, re-signed Patrick Patterson & have DeAndre Daniels sitting overseas until a roster spot is opened. Johnson & Hansbrough are both expiring and no one cares about them. Ujiri tried to dump Amir Johnson and had no takers. He's not one to keep on or absorb a "bad deal".
The new cap isn't done yet and you're not going to see GMs, especially ones wanting open space, trading to bring in more money on a hope that the cap is expected to jump. And Taj has 2 years left after this one at $8.5 $ $8.9. Not exactly something Ujiri is going to want. (and that's before if there's a trade kicker or not. I don't remember from when he re-signed)
As for Taj, if he was/is in his "prime", someone would have called for him. It's a bad market for him going forward.
