Based on his comments in the BuLi thread, I don't think he's a fan of a specific german club as much as he's just a general BuLi supporter. His opinions about a lot of things just run so far contrary to what I've heard from anyone who actually has a club in germany and isn't just blindly rooting for the league. As those are the only other people who I've seen defend the plastics and failing "big name" clubs as fervently as he does, other than RedBull he does **** on them.

Plus he uses the word traditionsverein a lot, and in reference to a lot of clubs that don't qualify for that moniker, so I'm guessing he's just a soccer hipster and general german league hyper.

The AntiMassimo perhaps. Or Massimos troll account.

Lesson #1:

Italian teams don't need to impress to win a game.

They are not going very far if they keep playing the way they played today. I'm not even sure whether they manage to advance over this FB-less Dortmund team.

It was really not an impressive showing at all. A great team would've taken care of the tie much earlier. :dontknow:

lol

i don't know or care what you consider impressive, but you were "not even sure" they'd advance and we beat them 3-0 with ease in Germany. BVB's only chance at goal between two legs was because Chiellini slipped in the mud

itt: 3-0 away win against a top 16 team in the continent is not impressive

well, now let's concentrate on the league and the german cup.

this is quite an annoying myth to deal with, italian teams dont play defensive anymore, the top italian teams are actually very open attacking sides. allegri is even more of an attacking manager than conte too.

that said juve do have a very compact and organized defense when they want to.

a myth? maybe. an annoying one? if you're annoyed by the premise, that the myth states, that italian teams play good defense and go for the result, which leads to more victories. ok.

anyway, with that 2-1 lead from the 1st leg i wouldn't have been surprised whith any team just parking the bus, knowing that dortmund has struggled to score this season. but as i said, that wasn't the case.
too many urkels on your team, that's why your wins low

The way he talks about Hamburg and tries to tell us how big HSV are as a club makes me think he's a fan of them. Which would make sense, too. I mean, would you like to admit that you're a HSV fan?

This Dortmund team is among the absolute worst German CL teams I have seen in a while. Even worse than the Schalke/Leverkusen teams that got their asses handed to them last year. The tie should've been over after 60 minutes and it took Juve 150 minutes to get it done. :dontknow:

I'll give Juve credit when they beat a real team, not the disfunctional piece of trash they played today.

And the BVB from the first leg were better than the Schalke and Leverkusen sides that went to the quarter- and semi-finals in the past. Dortmund bossed their group, which admittedly wasn't the toughest, and showed up strong in the first match. That Juve only conceded on a slip and were able to fight back in the midfield in that game was a really good sign.

This game Dortmund weren't the same, as they never are with Sven or Kehl at the 6, so this drubbing is actually less impressive to me than the 2-1 they got at home, but on the whole this was still a good showing from a club that took care of business. I wouldn't favor them against Bayern, Barca, Real (if they find their form), or PSG, but I'm definitely taking them over Monaco and Porto, on a level with Athleti.

There was nothing strong about Dortmunds performance in the first match. They were terrible there, too, and fortunate Juve didnt capitalize more.

He is such an ordinary player. Makes you wonder why they'd go for him. Perhaps they were trying to replicate Negredo's physicality and work rate, but there must have been more obvious compliments to Aguero out there.

Porto and Monaco facing each other would mean having to suffer one of them in the semis as well.

I was rooting for a final four of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, and Chelsea. That would have been epic for me. Hopefully it's one of Juventus, PSG, or Atletico to replace Chelsea.

I wanna see Barcelona vs Bayern match up. Seems like we've been deprived of this for a long time. Hope they draw each other.

As I said magik. I'll give Juve credit when they manage to beat a real team in the next round. Dortmund is as disfunctional as it gets right now.
All you have to do to beat Dortmund these days is double Reus and Kampl. The FBs will not put any pressure on your defense at all and the Armenian through the middle is god damn horrible.

Did you see Dortmund FBs going to your base line last night to put pressure on your defense? They didn't. Like not at all.
And that is not even a credit to Juve. That is because Dortmunds FBs are god damn terrible. You can watch the game vs. Cologne last Saturday here: http://livetv.sx/de/showvideo/238868_dortmund_cologne/ Exactly the same script.
The FBs failed to put like any pressure on Cologne's defense as well.

Juve has more individual class then Cologne so obviously they capitalize on the plenty of mistakes Dortmund make while going forward. It was probably one of Juve's easiest wins in this competition in a while because Dortmund beat themselves with their flawed display.

I'll be the first one to give Juve credit if they have a good performance against the top teams in the next round I promise magik. But against Dortmund they got the job done against a disfunctional team in struggle mode. Not more not less, hardly impressing.

Wasn't somehow they reach that final, was because they were the 2 best teams in Europe that year.

Porto eliminated Manchester United in last minute, but that game in Dragao should have been a 4-1, Porto of Mourinho was so dominant, even in Old Trafford.

Monaco eliminated Chelsea and Real Madrid.

Porto its next to Manchester United / Barça / Real Madrid the team with more presences in CL. And the only team in this CL edition without any losts.

Yep , I think he'll be loaned out by next January to like everton or something. Read that city have spent circa 325M pounds since 2011 to only make 2 first XI changes. Shocking , their buying of players has been so poor since the aguero purchase.

Cant wait for tomorrow's draw....

I hope RM gets Porto, Monaco, Juv.... all three currently capable of upsetting RM but not to the skill level of Barca, PSG, BM n AM....

RM needs some help to regain form quickly.... not very confident in my boys.... James get back soon!

Bold guess:
RM - AM
Barca - Juv
BM - Monaco
PSG - Porto

My sports teams are currently experiencing suckiness. Please pardon the mess.
