Coach Brooks needs to play Perry Jones

He is better than Singler. Even Novak is playing over him.

Jones is much better than Singler and Novak. Good offensive player than has handles. Good defensively. Good perimeter and transition D.

I agree, but PJ is not consistent like he was before the injury. I would LOVE to see him take Singler minutes.

Yeah, I'm back w/ PJ. But really, he needs to play Dion a bit less, Morrow a bit more.

Jones can be on the floor for 20 minutes, and his stat line will be all zeros, and you won't even know he's out there.

He lacks aggression.

And this was the knock on him in his last year at Baylor. There are reasons he fell so far in the draft, that go beyond this potential injury BS that was floated .

And obviously, Brooks does not trust him or he would be playing. Brooks is gonna have a full head of gray hair before this season is over. I have no doubt, if he thought Jones could help, Jones would be getting minutes.

Don't you dare say that. Scott Brooks, Mitch and Nick is the best hair trio in the league. Our gel game is strong.

Well Jones can put more pressure on opposing defenses than Singler. You say Jones is inconsistent but those lineups he was out there with when everyone was healthy back in the Jackson days weren't smart lineups. Also you had Westbrook, Durant, Ibaka, and Jackson and often Lamb all looking to score before Jones, there werent enough balls to go around. If you notice when guys like Durant went down Jones had huge games and then he got hurt.

If put in the right environment he could succeed.

He is also better defensively than Singler. & He is another guy that can give you 15-18 point games, so that is valuable.

I'd like to see Jones starting at the 2 against the Warriors and Cavs when Durant gets back so Jones can guard Thompson and James (switch to the 3 and have Durant guard J.R.) instead of Roberson who doesn't put any offensive pressure on Thompson or James.

He does lack aggression though you are right.

I'm just automatically skipping any post that talks about Roberson being replaced from now on.

He is, but I doubt he gets any burn the way things look now.

Jones is a perfectly capable 10th man, but he doesn't have a single skill that makes him playable. For a bench guy His defense is meh, his shooting is meh, his scoring is meh, his rebounding is meh. He's like a poor man's OKC Jeff Green. I'm kinda done defending him and Lamb, neither is as terrible as some fans make them out to be (and Lamb/Waiters is still close to even...) but neither should see pt on a good team.

poor man's OKC Jeff Green is actually quite a solid bench player. PJ looks solid at times, but completelly disappears at other times, posting zeroes across the board. Should get traded at the deadline/in the off season.
