Who would SVG want?
This isn't to start a huge argument but for you to think from SVG's prospective.
If Masai phoned Stan in the off-season to trade Jonas straight up for Andre what do you think Stan would do?
They are both young Cs but very different in how they play the game.
Andre is a great rebounder and blocker but is limited offensively basically as a garbage player with limited range a poor FT% and his defense is a work in progress.
Jonas is a high % shooter with range and high FT%, his rebounding is good and BPG average and defensively a work in progress.
Drummond is the better athletically.

Stan would immediately either laugh directly down the phone, that's if he still hasn't hung up the phone first.
No but seriously, Stan from the start has said Drummond is the closest to untouchable as anyone can be.
My expectation is he would want some sweeteners in there too.. maybe T.Ross and a 1st or so.

Easily one of the biggest Detroit Piston (and NBA) fans in Australia

Take the "handshake gate" from a couple days ago vs. Memphis, replace Dave Joerger with Masai Ujiri. That's how SVG would be like if the Raptors offered Jonas for Andre.

There's only about 10-15 players I would trade Dre for

Re: Who would SVG want?
I think Gores would put the kibash on the deal. He has a pretty good relationship with Drummond, and obviously views him as an integral piece of the team.
SVG has to at least think about that deal. But, I doubt he pulls the trigger.

In one poll I saw, Drummond was ranked 38th in the league. Is t possible you over-value Drummond?

Not a chance, Jonas has been a Drummond killer though early on his career though so I'll give you that.

No he is a 21 years old. I see him being able to put up 17-20 ppg, 13-15 boards, 1 steal, 2 blocks in 2-3 years, that is pretty nice for a 23-24 year old

Drummond is Deandre Jordan with a hook shot, he is a great piece to have going forward. He's going to be in the discussion for AS games and I am hoping DPOY if he makes strides to his defense like DJ has. You don't trade Drummond for lesser assets/players like Jonas V and picks- you trade him for legit star players only.

Re: Who would SVG want?
Drummond is laying down some legendary statistics with his rebounding. He's already one of the best (if not the best) in NBA history in offensive rebounding. All the stats he's putting up suggest that he will be an unstoppable force. You don't trade a superstar in the making and Drummond is just that, with or without an offensive game. You'll see what happens with shooters around him.

It's hard to believe this is a serious question.

Re: Who would SVG want?
I think it is a legit question, but I think SVG passes pretty easily.
Sure we need outside shooters, but that's what the other 4 positions are for.

Wonder how long a troll thread of mine would last on the Raps board?
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy
