Ultra thin PF and C have performed horribly in the NBA.

Mostly if they stay that way. That's why teams have strength and conditioning coaches. Just look at how Dwight looked when he came into the league straight out of high school. I'm not really concerned about Porzingis' size, he seems to be consistently bulking up. You are acting like he's Noel thin.

I'm still smiling at the "switch-everything" closing line-up from the Boston game: Elf, Dipo, Harris, AG, & Moe. Any opinions on whether this guys could play that way with his combination of length and quickness? If you had a 7'1" guy in that group it would give it more versatility...

Looks to me like he could. I think I read that he has even played some SF over in Europe....not saying he would play that in the nba though.

@WojYahooNBA: Sevilla's Kristaps Porzingis, 19, impressing NBA executives on scouting trail in Spain. He's grown to 7-foot-1-plus, progressing into Top 5.

Would be nice if we could get UCF's 7'6" beast, Tacko Fall. Read that his xray films show future growth...could be 7'8", 7'9"
before he stops growing. Saw footage of him....he throws a basketball like a baseball.., hands so large the ball looks like a grapefruit.

He'd break like a Tacko too.

Noyou don't, the kid isn't that great and for his size he is as slow as predicted, I've played with the kid before and watched a couple of his games, we will see what he does in college, but I dont see anything there

I personally hope we can draft him too. If Magic win few more games, we can draft him from 5-8 range.

Porziņģis can certainly become what Orlando expected from Frye. But where will front court defense come from? I am not sold. Right now, trading down for Frank Kaminsky and a bucket-load of future assets (draft picks - plural) makes more sense to me than drafting top-5.

porzingis got an akward slow first step imo, he's like the skinny version of kaminsky without a post game. i would def take myles turner over him, turner has a decent jumper not as good as porzingis prob but I think defensively he's much better.

not seeing the hype, my eye test he's basically a 7 foot SG without the handle, now you might be able to say the same thing about Dirk but Dirk is so rare man. The only thing i care about with this kid would be his potential defensively, is there anything to be excited about on that end?

Yea. He is a good shotblocker with fantastic lateral quickness. He struggles vs size/strength but he is 19 and will put on weight. The hype is hes 7'1 with athleticism who can hit the 3, hit turn around jumpshots/off the dribble/stepbacks/etc. who has a good handle for his size and can run the floor. You just don't see players with his size and skillset very often.

I have absolutely no idea man, and he is definitely a risky pick. Rob has his work cut out for him.

If Henny gets a hint of indecisiveness from Porzingis about coming over, he's not going to take him.
