Anyways Taj is likely going nowhere, no reason to be surprised. The intensity and unique skill set he brings, especially in the playoffs, are extremely crucial.

Taj can just back up Niko at the four. Regardless, I don't see Noah leaving. He should be a Bull for his entire career, and have his number retired in the United Center rafters.

let me start off by saying i love Noah and what he has brought to the table during his tenure...plenty of great moments

however i think we should let him walk in 2016. im not that high on giving a 32 year old hustle player a big contract (especially one with knee issues) he doesn't have the skill to translate late into his career like a Duncan...IMO its a recipe for a mistake

we need to be looking for his replacement...maybe a Whiteside type guy we can mold to take his place...that is the solution. not keeping Taj or worrying about Noah leaving

I'd be completely down with the Jimmy Butler 1 year contract - just to see if he can hold up his performance from this year. I highly doubt Jimmy turns down a long term deal now for a potentially more lucrative deal after another season. He'd be seriously gambling a lot of money considering he could get injured next season or his production could drop enough to not warrant a max deal.

Cowley has been right on a few things around here, but I just don't like how he represents himself. Taking personal shots at players on twitter is bush league. Then the BS douchey questions he asks the players and coach.

Me too. Cowley is definitely a troll.. but he really has been a lot more accurate with his reporting of the Bulls and these situations than anyone. He's definitely not KC-like and afraid to rock the boat when it comes to talking Bulls. He is the one who broke the truth about Noah's knee being worse than the org was letting on.. he also was the first to report that the whole Bucher thing had legs and Rose really would not play in 2012-13 season at all and that the decision was made before the season even started by BJ and Reggie. He was also calling this rift with Thibs being real before Friedell or anyone else.

Yep he has been on top of a lot of things (besides Ozzie's package)!

you dont trade Taj for scraps or to save money, but it makes sense to trade him this summer. Niko does need the minutes and Taj is on a value contract that could get you a return that fulfills the Bulls needs. My first need if im Chicago is getting a young center, either through the draft or trading for a C still on his rookie deal. Then you look for a solid backup point who can also play some 2 if need be.

Thats right now though, alot can change after the playoffs.

I like Jimmy. He's got a high basketball IQ, but I would suggest he sign a multi year deal with the Bulls while the iron is hot for him.
As far as Joakim. I like him too, but I wouldn't be opposed if the Bulls traded him at the end of the season, and I definitely wouldn't sign him to a huge contract in 2016. His knees, and feet are his downfall, and his production has dipped big-time. Hopefully, I'm wrong about Jo, and he dominates in the playoffs, but I don't see him getting better at 30 yrs old.
