Bulls players drafted in the last 5 years redux

Post#1 » by EastBayFJ » Sat Mar 21, 2015 4:10 am

From 2011 I have Niko at #4 ( 23 ) and Jimmy at #5 ( 30 )

From 2012 I have Marquis Teague deep into the 2nd round

From 2013 I have Tony Snell at #13 ( 20 )

From 2014 ....jury is out on Doug as he hasn't played enough and was injured at start of season . Check back next year - but I'm highly optimistic still in Doug McFresh

Where have you got our rookies in the last 5 years from their draft class in a redux
"GarPax played Grab Ass with Mirotic for 5 years and been in Omaha playing Hide the Salami with Doug McBuckets for the 1.5 years and they've developed feelings for him. Well, I say "F feelings and F loyalty!" I want CHIPS! Jerry Krizause

Knowing what we know now? If so then Marquis Teague doesn't get drafted.

Imagine if would have grabbed Draymond or Middleton instead.

As bad as Marquis Teague was in the NBA, to their credit, we desperately needed PG depth and took Teague at 29. No PG taken after him is still in the league either, so it's not like they missed that way. I don't think a guy like Draymond Green was on their radar as it was basically PG or trade the pick (no one wanted the pick).

Hey, it could have been worse... we weren't the team that took Thomas Robinson in the early lottery. And outside of about 5-6 players (Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard, Bradley Beal, etc.) total, 2012 is looking like a total garbage draft.

There are not 13 guys from that class id take over snell.

In no order, id only take these guys over Snell in a redraft:

Giannis
Oladipo
Nerlens
Shabazz
Gobert
Plumlee
Dieng

Really? McLemore? Caldwell-Pope? Olynyk? Schroder? Roberson? Steven Adams? Alex Len?

Snell got picked where he should have. 6.3PPG isn't exactly a future HOF.

Forgot Adams and Schroder. Would maybe take Olynyx over him but Snell is a better 2 way player. The other guys id take snell over mclemore, pope, and DEFINITELY Roberson. Len I dont watch much. Those last guys are doing as much as snell right now but on horrible teams, Snell is contributing on a winning team.

So ya I guess around 11-13 like the OP said.I did miss some names somehow

Bulls should have Norris Cole, Marshon Brooks, and Hardaway Jr.

bulls went in to the 2011 draft with picks 28, 30, 43. Clevland had 1, 4, 32. Both teams traded their second round picks.

Bulls: Butler & Mirotic

Clevland: Irving & Thompson

Would you swap with Cleveland?

I wouldn't.

Yeah, I didn't pay much attention to NCAA play that year, but everyone had me convinced Mar$wag was the way to go. And then reports started coming in that Butler schooled Brooks in the on-court evaluations, and it had me convinced that maybe the board was just enamored with offensive talent.

If I was the GM, we would've end up with:
2011 - Marshon Brooks
2012 - Tyshawn Taylor
2013 - Gorgiu Dieng

Man, 2011 was epic success by GarPax. Mirotic and Butler... damn
