Westbrook's 10th triple double of the season. Holy crap! I think he's playing at a higher level than Rose did during his MVP season.

At running an offense, I would agree. But not on defense. They're pretty equal at getting off their own shot. So I guess it would all depend on what you are talking about in basketball. If you are talking about all around game, I think there are a lot of factors.

But at least you aren't trying to throw Goran in our faces after he demanded and got a trade from us. or maybe you could make up threads about Bledsoe's turnovers, Markieff's rebounding, and how we don't develop our youth, to show your true love for the team.

Bledsoe is definitely a better defender but as we've seen, defense at the PG position is less important compared to team defense and defense from big men. I think Goran's efficiency, shot selection and passing ability puts him above Bledsoe (so far) overall.

All that being said, I'm not here to cry a river and hating that we have Bledsoe instead of Dragic as I'm well aware of the circumstances of why we are where we are. This is just my $0.02 on Bledsoe vs Goran, nothing else.

So we need to beat OKC, and then close a 1.5 game gap.

We'd have the tie-breaker.

GS could rest players against us, if they don't want OKC.

Imagine benefitting from teams wanting us in the playoffs, and the league wanting OKC? What a battle!

Today is exactly why I am so happy the Suns traded Dragic. There are multiple reasons. First off, I think he is a good player but I still believe last year was the best he will ever be and he has not played anything like that this year. He played a game against the best point guard in basketball today and was dominated. Westbrook showed what being a max player is all about and Dragic finished with 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. Now think about how Dragic is most likely going to get a 5 year, 108 million dollar contract this offseason. Does anyone think he is worth that? I do not. Not even close. I would not even give him Bledsoe's contract. Plus if Dragic gets that max deal, he will be paid more than Westbrook. Let that sink in for a second. Dragic will be making more money than Westbrook. What a joke.

Another reason I am happy about the trade is because the defense is light years ahead of where it was when Dragic was on the team. No more getting run over by opposing guards every single game. The defense is so much better without Dragic playing shooting guard. I said that last night after the Suns beat the Rockets. The first three games the Suns lost against the Rockets this season, Dragic and Thomas were on the roster. Now that they are gone and the Suns are not so undersized, it has changed everything. It was so obvious they would improve defensively once they got rid of them.

The third reason is because it has allowed time for Goodwin to play. Everyone can see how exciting Goodwin is to watch and what he can do. He hit two of the biggest shots of the game against the Mavericks in crunch time today and I doubt the Suns win the game if he does not play.

The Bucks lost tonight. That brings their record since trading Brandon Knight for Michael Carter Williams to 4-13.

And yet we are 4-1 since he went down. :o Its a tough transition for him. He goes from running the squad, to trying to fit in. He will get it soon. Hopefully we can move towards what I've been hoping for which was a pairing of guards. Although, with Tucker now grabbing some shooting guard minutes, I don't mind Bullock sitting out so much. Could we run a guard rotation of Bledsoe/Tucker, Knight/Goodwin? While giving Warren a bulk of minutes at the sf? Sounds doable to me.

Hopefully the AJ Price/whoever experiments are over and done with.

Well then clearly your trolling and its time for you to hit the Heat forum bud!

Nah not trolling. His short time with the Heat just reinforced to me that his 2013-2014 All-NBA campaign wasn't a fluke. I've made my point pretty clear in other posts but now that he's no longer on our team, I understand some posters are against bringing it up so I'll keep it to a minimum

Lol!!! Not a fluke? Dude he's in the east now. He's not even playing that great. He's a good player and all but totally not the same player he was last year. It was just a great season for him. He hasn't even played that many games with Miami to say last year wasn't a fluke.

Yeah, OKC is using well his 'empty stats'

I don't know if you are being sarcastic, but reading Pelton's chat the other day, I found this stat jaw dropping...

Pete (Minneapolis)

Is Kanter that bad? How are the Jazz so much better after trading him?
Kevin Pelton (1:38 PM)

In fairness to Kanter, the Jazz were already showing signs of development in late January and early February before the trade. That said, while there are a lot of other factors, I don't think it's entirely a coincidence that Oklahoma City has dropped from 10th in defensive rating before the deadline to 24th thereafter, and Utah has improved from 27th before the deadline to first thereafter. If you look just at Kanter's point and rebound totals, you get an incomplete picture of how he affects a game.

GM's find a way to dismiss team numbers if they believe in the individual.

He's the new Big Al... black hole on offense, comically bad in defense
He'll play with some defensive studs in Oklahoma, so I think he'll be fine there.

Yeah, ultimately he would be a good guy for their second unit once they can start Durant, Ibaka and Adams and bring him in as a backup where it wouldn't matter as much. I don't know if they will want to pay him what he might command though or if they just got him to help him out this season. Not sure what his market would be.

Kanter is a very good inside scorer and rebounder. Awful defensively. OKC is using him perfectly with Adams as the C and him as PF.

Thunder acquired him for literally peanuts.

I wanted the Suns to pair him with Len, it would give us great size and solve our rebounding issues as well as having a consistent player that we can just dump the ball off to in the half court since we're often clueless in half court sets.

Yea it is. Dallas has a 6 game lead with like 11 games to go and their about to beat the Spurs so their not losing any ground today either. Even if they somehow choke away the lead and lose this game, their still gonna make it.

Dallas will make playoffs, it's almost guranteed.
