Depends how much you pay for Knight. Could happen. Gimme Brandon and Stanley, but I'd rather re-sign Ed Davis than max out DeAndre. I just think the max is a bit too much pay for a one dimensional player.

Its actually a good roster. but i prefer to get either guard or center in this draft. not a fan of drafting high a SF except he can score, playmaking, defense.

I'd take Cauley Stein before Stanley, as him and Randle have already shown they can play and win together.

Most likely not enough cap room to get both jordan and knight, that's before davis and his possibly pay day

It's realistic if Jordan comes here and Brandon Knight takes a paycut or something along those lines.

In my opinion, for us to get Stanley Johnson, we would have to drop to #5. I would rather have Towns, Russell, Okafor, Mudiay over him.

And actually, I don't see how that makes sense salary wise because of Ed Davis. He'll get at least 3-4M a season somewhere, most likely more. So that would leave 19-21M combined to fit Knight and Jordan. All 3 (Davis, Knight, Jordan) would have to take pay cuts and I can't see Jordan taking a paycut. If he leaves the Clippers it will be because the Clippers don't want to pay a max salary to him. If that happens, someone will pay him.

You also can't forget that it is very unlikely that the Suns decide not to match an offer sheet for Knight, specially if it's below market value.

I think Stanley Johnson is underrated. I have him above WCS and Mudiay.

have no interest in Knight, he's a combo guard, a small one at that.

Ed Davis has an 800k cap hold so if I'm correct we can keep his hold, sign other players and then sign him even if we go over the cap.

The lakers don't have his bird rights or early bird rights so if they go over the cap prior to signing him they'd be limited to using the veteran minimum or room exception

So how much do we actually have in cap space this off-season?
Could this lineup be possible:
PG. Rajon Rondo\Jordan Clarkson\2nd Round Pick
SG. Kobe Bryant\Wayne Ellington\Jabari Brown
SF. Draymond Green\Nick Young\Houston 1st Round Pick
PF. Julius Randle\Jordan Hill\Ryan Kelly
C. Jahlil Okafor\Tarik Black\Robert Sacre

Is that hoping for too much?

With around 26 million in cap space..

- Okafor (say we get #1 pick) -- 4,750,000
- Draymond Green (we'll call him 12M a season) -- 12,000,000
- Rajon Rondo (We'll him 10M a season) -- 10,000,000

We're already over the cap space that we have and that doesn't include re-signing (or picking up the option) on Hill, adding in the Houston 1st rounder, adding in the second round pick, re-signing Ellington, and taking into account the cap holds. So no, not possible.

We have enough cap space for 1 max salary, our 2 first round draft picks, our early second rounder, maybe a team friendly re-signing of Jordan Hill or Ed Davis, and a room exception (2.7M).

Jordan Hill salary next year is around 9mil...In other words expect a draft day trade...Detriot seem like a likely destenation

I meant to put Ed Davis not J Hill. I hope they don't even pick up his option, even for a potential trade. Give Davis around 5 mil a season and Ellington around 3. Get Rondo and a quality swingman or big(whichever one we don't get in the draft.) and let Kobe go out with at least a playoff berth with a halfway decent team. Also we most likely won't get any of the RFA swings this year, ie; Leonard, Butler and the one I mentioned before, Draymond. So another question I have is who here would be opposed to bring in a "quality" vet in hometown guy Paul Pierce? He does have an option, but maybe the possibility of playing with Rondo and Kobe and a group of youngsters could sway him to come home and contend for one last ship. Starting Lineup would be:
Rondo
Kobe
Pierce
Randle
Okafor/Towns???

2nd unit:
Clarkson
Ellington
Young
Davis
Black
Of course all hypothetically speaking. Don't kill me fellas

Healthy Kobe, Randle & Okafor would be amazing. If that happens Hill will prob be gone because he is paid so much.

If we get Okafor free agent money should be spent on a 1 and a 3.
