A lot of the initial adjustment is to the length of the defense and the speed of the game, once he gets that done like he has done with his floater finding his range, the next step is to maintain a tight handle while probing the defense for cracks. Obviously if he has it in him, the next step would be to direct the offense, I'm not sure if he can do all those things consistently but he has surely been a pleasant surprise so far this season. He did play some of his college eligibility in Tulsa, so I wouldn't take those years into account. He had one season at Missouri, which is possibly the closest thing to a good basketball program he's had prior to the NBA.
